when you export to .xmodel why doesnt the lighting settings go to because the textures i used didnt look right so i messed around with the lighting to make it look good but when i loaded it to my game it was as it was before the lighting is it not possible,do i have to just mess with the light of the whole object in db or perhaps fix the textures in a other program before i use them.thanks.

Lights are not imported with objects into DB as they would affect other objects if they did.

You would need to create your lightsource seperately within DB using the light command set.

In this case though, I suspect you need to edit your original textures.
