Hello.
I got an DELL OEM version of Ageia PPU card recently.
I try to install the driver for it, but it seems there is some problem about my ppu card and PC.
My PC's OS is win 2k and the installer says "The Device Driver installation is only compatible with Windows XP. The Software Ageia PhysX Engine will still be installed."
Does it mean, I need to install XP on my PC to use PPU card? On Win2K, only the software mode runs?
Or do I have any other problem?

I don't have a PPU card, but the PhysX drivers installed OK on Windows 2000 + SP4 for me.

The software drivers installed ok here, although I do recall getting a "Can't install hardware drivers b/c you have not been assimilated into XP yet. Resistance is futile." error message.

I really don't understand why the hardware driver would not work just as well on 2k as it would on XP.

hmm... WinXP costs a lot for me... I have spent all money which I can spend right now. No money for a new OS. Maybe next month I'll get it.
Changing OS is a heavy task for me. Talking only about DBP, I need to download, install and activate so many files. I just can not imagine how long will it take for me to recover my developing enviroment on new OS. Sigh.
