LOL

what i mean by projection, is you know those old projectors you have in schools? it looks like its just one of them shining a picture onto the side of the model.

Ohhh got ya. I can assure you, that the mesh hasnt just got the texture pasted simply onto it....
See attached:

You should notice it is actually quite shaped. I think the dark texture, doesnt show up the curviture of it...

Oh right! Got you now I personally cant see it on the FAMAS, but ill get it open in anim8or and take a closer look. Thanks for pointing out something that may need improving, ill have a go at retexturing, if i see any major "stretching".

Can other people please give thoughts on FAMAS, and vote, please?

Dan.

Dont worry about it Axifer. Youve done the right thing and apolagised. If other people around here were to do this more often, and learn from mistakes, we'd have a much nicer environment.
I guess you were maybe just showing enthusiasm?

I think a few people on the forum have agreed that without arms, it would match the style of so many other models for FPSC, already out there.

Hey!Guess what?He has posted screenies in several threads where he has shown up the weapons.
Look through the models and media forum and read up.
Do you think this thread would be four pages long without a mod asking him to post screenshots if they had not been posted somewhere already?

hear hear!!

i still think that hands would be nice.

i think that most people would just use the free weapon pack with arms rather than the standard. i wouldnt really use a FPSC weapon alongside with the free.. that way i think that arms would be ideal.. i wish this had arms...

cya around,

Lewis

i would say no to arms. They do not go well with the default weps, but it is Smitho's desition weather he will put arms or not.

Smitho- relax man, I personally do not expect anything from you. And I have a hard time believing that a weapon pack is coming in the near future. But my suggestion to you is do not open your mouth about something until it is near completion. Don't take it the wrong way but if you want to avoid drawn out threads that are 90% garbage. keep it to yourslef until near completion.

I know what you mean RF, yeah.. At the time I was pretty excited, as I hadnt been modelling long, and was quite proud of myself. I will, indeed, do as you recommended if I were to make another pack or anything.

Yours,
Dan

Hello again all...
finished the UMP mesh... not textured yet obviously.

I am currently in deals with a few people trying to get someone to animate & get the pack FPSC ready.
Havent heard from Butters in absoloutly ages, so Im talking to Errant and Walking Dead Productions.
If anyone else can animate/get fpsc ready, email me at dan@ride-with-pride.co.uk

smitho, i can animate guns, although im not good at importing guns to fpsc, if you save as a .obj and in goups i'll animate any gun you want me to. i can also export to .x if needed.

The only reason I noticed the problem with the scout is because its my favorite sniper in CS. Weird, I know, not to like the magnum better, but its mainly because the Scout is a 'light' sniper and usually fits my purpose.

My grouped? Was thinking it would be better for the reload animation, for example, to have the clip coming out and being replaced etc.

i use c4d but anim8or can export groups so it doesnt matter, it doesnt import them though wihich is awkward.

Very quick reply btw.
