Not a bug more like a feature request.

Lee, is it possible to display the used texture filenames of entities and segments when clicking on them in the editor?
If you know them you can easily use the textures in MagicFPS or other segment editors etc.

V1.03RC3 is not yet released as far as I am aware so I dont think anyone has it - they must be mistaken.

Uman's right.
I ain't complaining.
RC2,with the exception of a glitch or two,is working fine for me.
It's good to see TGC take steps in making FPSC the product we know it can be.

I found an bug, its when you build your game, you set your players max health to 100, if you players health is 50, then you save the game and load it back up, your health is now 50 and you can't pick up medkits or heal yourself back to 100.

@ Davy B

Send your bug report to lee@thegamecreators.com

If he's busy, he may not be frequenting the forums and this sounds like a major one.

Lee has been on a successful bug hunt today. Many things fixed (I just tested the version here). Here's the readme he sent me:

V1.0.3 RC3 - 06/10/06
---------------------

* Added an FPSC bug reporting tool written by Thomas Gortler (useful for reporting issues)
* Fixed bug where sound zones would re-trigger after a saved game was reloaded
* Added code to auto-expand AILIST() array associated with new FPI scripts
* Fixed bug caused by spawned objects floating in air after mid-action save/reload action
* Added new flag in SETUP.INI called EXITPROMPTREPORT=1 (which helps reveal the error 0,0 bug)
* Added code to auto-expand Segment Arrays to handle as many segments as the level requires
* Corpse based killed enemies no longer resurrect when reloading a saved game
* Fixed problem causing FPSCreator.exe not to reload the map editor after a BUILD GAME
* If a weapon is added via an FPSC model pack, it no longer crashes if a VWEAP.X not exist
* Fixed icon corruption in FPSC builds once and for all
* Story Zone crash bug fixed, caused by playing animations after a secondary level load

I told him he'd be a popular guy for that last one!

New patch will be released Monday.

Oh, Lee, just thought of something...

You know how rockets are also supposed to leave a blast when they hit something? Well, they do - but it was in the last place you shot. If I remember right, it puts the bullet hole in the last raycast position, correct? So, upon a rocktes collision, couldn't you do something like this:

This is sweet. However, when i tried a program i made using the save/load, the loading wokerd, but as soon as i took my first step from were i spawned, i died instantly? this is a pain. the save/load works, but kills me.

EDIT: after messing around with it, it looks like if you save on a space were the fall threre from the player start arrow will kill you, as sson as you take a step, you die. However, if you are in a spot were the fall from the playerstart arrow would not kill you, you are ok. can this get fixed? also, the anti gravoty lifts stop working when you loaded a game

Will you have to install RC2 and RC3 separately?

Also... Maybe a very dumb question... But does this save/load feature support multiple levels? (Having saved at lvl 1 and lvl 2 then when at lvl 4 you can load lvl 2?)

Thanks...

Cool, looking forward to RC3 and the story bug fix!

I'm trying to follow the bug fixes, but this one isn't completely clear to me:
Quote: "Added code to auto-expand AILIST() array associated with new FPI scripts"

Does that mean the 100 scripts limit is gone now?

Hey,

What about speeding up loading time. With that type of fix along with the others that was specified that would be all I need for the time being. When it comes to selling games, me or anyone using FPSC don't want to look bad in front of our customers because the games take to long to load. All in all thanks for the effort on getting us those updates.

Take Care!

LoL, poor Rich, poor Lee, I downloaded at 2.02MB/s!

Either way, I am glad to see that the bug crackdown has begun and that FPSC is being stabalized Canidate by Canidate.

As a side note, shouldn't there be 4 bug report forums (or make a sub forum if you can) to sort the version in which the error occured?
