I need a snippet that dose this:

if the camera is to the left of the object them move right
if the camera is to the right of the object them move left

the object moves along all axie's so it's tricky
(left and right compared to the X and Z axis)

I think you mean this:

*********************************************
* |---| *
* |CAR| x cam = here *
* |---| *
* *
* x cam = going here (when press key) *
* *
*********************************************
is that it?

has anyone played the zelda 64 games? you know when you move around the camera dosn't follow you, untill you push z then it spins the the back of the character, then when you start moving again the camera dosn't follow. Thats what I need, when you lock the camera behind the guy then let go of the button I need the variable were the camera is at the frozen point in time. then when you turn the character, the camera will stay in the spot that the camera was locked in, and NOT BE LOCKED TO THE CARACTER
