well, the competition is over, and we've got another game. Kon (Alex Hansen-White) and I did the graphics for this one. Feel free to crit, comment, or whatever. I might expand this in the future.

sometimes the world needs another 2D pixelart game.

Well done..

Two points to review: the automatic direction changes on collision events are annoying some times; the collision deserves an improvement (by restricting the collision areas to the "feet" you would give freedom to the player).

Other than those, the game looks professional. Nice art. Even the details look neat.

Nice game for the most part , i just got annoyed by the movement for a bit, i'd like to see the moving go from square to square, so that if you press up it actually goes up instead of being stuck at a corner.

I didn't exactly like the way your direction seemed to ajust if you ran into a solid object, other than that it was nice. Like peter I also pulled a boulder onto myself
