...ok, this is getting creepy now

haha, cheers

models coming along nicely, add some more details that define the shape of a weapon, and if you can keep it smooth (ergonomics in mind!)

keep it up!

Didn't mean to creep you out Jon. Thanks for the comment though.I'll try to add detail to it and see how good it gets.

The first persoin view looks great, but there is one large the rifle needs, a stock. If that were a real rifle the kick wouldn't distribute and the flant skinny end would snap your arm. Overall nice work!

Why anim8or? you are still learning it so your stuff is still basic, but i really liked your milkshape stuff. What im really saying is that if you are already up one mountain 3/4 of the way why go to the bottom and start climbing one you aren't familliar with.

We really need a forum for these kinda things, and leave this for "FPSC Models and Media only".

I can't fathom the reasons for not doing it.....Not even that it would need much policing. No need to lock stuff, it could just be deleted if it didn't fit the criteria. Eventually they would understand why the post vanished...

It could even be called something like "Media W.I.P.'s" as to not single out new guys or make them feel inferior with a name Like "Newcomers"

EDIT: I wanna say I have nothing against this guy showing his model and saying goodbye in the same thread. But if you notice other then Jon and Cut, everyone that answers these threads are newer guys(Jon probably only answered cause he was "creeped out") My post is in responce to the text post above mine.....these kind of threads are like a homing device for those kinds of questions....

You'll have to e-mail Rich about that.
We are just lowly mods and they don't leave those kinds of decisions up to us.

An "Everything else" board. The problem with that is that it would be soo difficult to moderate, since there are so many different topics to deal with. The thing is, if a moderator is headed to the models/media forum and sees a scripting question he knows to move it. In the "Everything else" forum it could be anything bad the mod is looking for

Still, at least he didn't hijack someone elses thread!

I take a screen shot in milkshape, save it, and open it into photoshop and save it as JPEG.

Great Model. Not too sure about the texture though. Are u basing your models off of pictures? (reference images) if not, you should. Cause then you can just take the pic itself and use it as a texture. #

My signature has been erased by a Mod, and I am quite proud of it. (Mods, by saying this, you still have no logical reason to ban me.)

You say you got that image off google?

if you have then you have to check if it is copyrighted; if it is then you can't use that texture for any commercail game.

just my 2 cents.
(great model though )

The skin I found it at www.3dlinks.com under the free textures and just made it better in photoshop and yes I check if it is copyrighted.

Since this thread has been going for sometime, I'm giving you the courtesy of a heads-up that it will be moved to the 3 Dimensional Chat Board today. So you'll all know where to go to find it. Please read the new sticky at the top of this board for more info.

Thanks.

It's not bad a first model matey, and you have shown improvement along further down the thread, I'd take your hand at texturing them by hand now.

With the hand, like the last thread that was moved here, the fingers are separate, I'd use some knife/cutting tools and extrusions to make the fingers straight from the hand instead of modelling them separately.

Good stuff and welcome to the 3D modelling world.
