Sup guys, I am new at this and I have to say I am amazed at the program. Have watched many videos of custom things and I have many questions. I have read the manual and stuff so I know that much.

I have began making my first game and have had some problems. First problem is how do you change the loading screen. Second what is the best way of putting your own sounds/music into the game. Third how do you have a character talk to you when he sees you? I also have a problem when I get music in the game to work, it is to loud and plays into my in game cut scenes which makes them hard to hear.

Sry, for all the questions so quick but I am really into this idea and need quite abit of help to get it done. Appreciate any info you guys can give.

Sup Dark,

The screens for FPSC are located in the FPS CreatorFileslanguagebankenglishgamecorebackdrops folder. You can change the existing ones, make new ones, whatever you want. Then just select you screens in the Level Settings tab of the Build Game dialog.

You can add sounds, .ogg or .wav, to the audiobankuser folder. You will have to play with global sounds and sounds in zones to get your level the way you want it. There is a wealth of info on sounds here in the forum.

You can have a character talk to you through text or sound files. The easy way way is to invest in SignsIV. Search for it and you will find Terry's site. Otherwise, you can use scripted zones or entites to display text or play audio files.

Welcome to the forums and best of luck.

Welcome to the FPSC forums Dark Sector,
Let me be the first to point out that Forum Search box at the bottom of this page.
You can usually find answers to most of the basic question by using that.
It not only helps you find the answer faster, but also saves forum space by not posting the same questions twice.
Also, be sure to read the manual because it explains all the basics in detail.

Again,
Welcome to the FPSC forums

With the wealth of information in the manual it is possible he may of skimmed over those areas I know I am guilty of things like that... Especially spending so much time in these forums reading old post turns up a wealth of information thats extremely valuable but long winded threads in some cases hense is why I tend to skim.

But let me also welcome you to the forum, happy game making and hopefully a very enjoyable time here...

There is a wealth of information and models in the stickies to help you advance your skill level with your current FPSC

This is probably your best source of information over everything else and is highly suggested in using.
