I cannot fit my 20 liner into 20 lines because:

1. You can't fit 25 commands into 255 characters.
2. Because you can't put labels like "start:" inbetween commands like this...

text 20,20,"stuff":gosub nice:start::end

Has anyone got a solution to the second one?

yeah, you cannot, it's sad, but now DBP has a big advantage for the challenge
but you can do very good things in 20 lines and 255 characters
