Hi,
What does EA mean ?

I will add the paiement method under paypal this week.
I may also add the paiements using my secured banks basket system when all the banks paper will arrive at home :p

Theorically, it will be possible to buy X4 before the end of this week.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Early Adopter. Like selling copies when it is near completeion to help get beta testers and help fund developement like TGC did with FPSC. Great news on the timing. Any idea about the price yet?

price will be 49.90€ including VAT.

And for the release state, it will probably be like EA.

France VAT is 19.6% and is included in the 49.90€.

you can buy from everywhere in the world.
The VAT applied is the one of the company country.
For our case, Odyssey-Creators is located in FRANCE so, for everyone in the world buying softwares from Odyssey-Creators website, VAT is 19.6% and is included in the 49.90€ price. You'll have to use currency converter to know how 49.90€ give in your money or make the registration pages display your currency instead of euros.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Hi,

I know what bank transfer is.
I also know that in french, use this method have a cost.
So, if I add that option to register Odyssey-Creators product, the buyer will have to pay the extra cost needed to make the bank transfer

Tomorrow will see an upgrade of the website with links to register 3DMapeditor and X-Quad Editor using Paypal. Other method will appear later ...

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Is there, by any chance, a way to send money in an enclosed envolope, along with information, and pre-paid postage, and stuff, and you will send back the product on a CD?

@DB: the principle to send money directly in an enveloppe is dangerous ... therre are no way to really know if the company really receive the money for you... It's something that can lead to problems ... But, for french user, I can accept personal checks in an enveloppe

@PrinceOfDarkness: The extra cost has nothing to do with the VAT. I use sometimes paypal and a seller did wanted I pay him using bank transfer and I had to pay extra money (between 2€ and 5€ I don't remind exactly) to the bank to make them do the bank transfer ... I don't know how it work for other countries but I just said this, regarding to my personal experience.

@LostInThought: Yes, and my company is setup like TGC. VAT is fixed on Franch 19.6% VAT for everyone in the world (like tgc that use UK 17.5% VAT for everyone in the world)

Website is updated....
3DMapEditor and X-Quad Editor are available to registration under PAYPAL... More paiements methods will be available within the next few days.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

I don't have to pay VAT or any other tax when ordering from TGC. THE UK Doesn't charge VAT on software goods leaving the country. I have X-Quad on my list to buy either way and should be buying in the next couple of weeks

Rich explained me that it's because you're in the U.S.A and not in E.U, that you don't pay VAT
I'll check with my Expert accountant about this.

EDIT: Odyssey-Creators website is updated to fit VAT/noVAT where applicable.

I can send a check, most likely. But what do you mean by "French User"? Do you mean, I would have to live in france? Or maybe that I would have to pay using french currency? I'm not completely sure.

Thank you.

Cheers,

@Prince Of Darkness:
Sorry, I'm not sure to understand ...

@DB User 2006+
in fact, check will only be allowed for checks that can be used in a french bank and in € currency.
I will add within the next few days some sort of "purchase order" form you'll have to print, complete and send with the check for the registration process to work correctly.

I've also released a small 2 levels, arcade game in the WIP section of the forum is the post:

After it's beta-tested, revised (if needed), and finally ready, I would suggest trying to sell it through TGC. I bought your Extends system through them and find the purchasing procedure to be simple and fast. I also can't stomach paying a VAT of 19+%.

@Jeff: You know, Odyssey-Creators is a small company ... so, it will have with time its own resell system... It actually uses Paypal and full shop is in WIP...

Of course, X-Quad Editor will maybe be reselled via TheGameCreators too but, i will maybe not be for today :p

I'm sorry if France VAT is 19.6% regarding to Uk one at 17.5% ... but don't forget that it's something I'll have to live with for my company...

Odyssey-Creators released a small free utility for X-Quad Editor registered users:

SkyMATTER Packer is a small free utility useful for peoples that own SkyMATTER Packs from TheGameCreators.
This Small tool adapt the SkyMATTER Packs to be useable directly from the X-Quad Editor Pack Manager.
It Will copy all skyboxes from these sets directly in the X-Quad Editor SKYBOX directories (by creating news subdirectories to put files and create packs).
The SkyMATTER skyboxes will then, can be loaded in X-Quad Editor directly from the Pack Manager without the need to make changes in the SkyMATTER files just like all default X-Quad Editor skyboxes can be loaded.

Here is the link to download that small free utility :
http://files.odyssey-creators.com/files/SkyMATTERPacker.zip

If you have any questions, suggestions about this utility, jump here:

In fact, when you change options like resolutions, controls, they are automatically saved when quitting the game.
It may maybe be better to add an option like Save Options ? (ingame)
In fact, the problem is that game engine and editor are dissociated, on slow computer, it can create big slowdown issues to have both editor and test game running at the same time.

if I find a way to minimize the editor (and slow it down to keep less cpu %) it may be possible to make a "test level" functionality.

I've also added the fact to put a 3D scene on the main menu background. (it's nicer :p) and it use Fixed Camera 1 to display the scene.

It gives something like this :

I've also added support for Evolved's Fresnel water.
It gives something like this:

I'm currently working on the adaptation of Ultimate Shader Pack on DarkSHADER. After this, I'll adapt shaders from DarkSHADERS to work directly within X-Quad Editor (to make some shaders available directly from the editor).

OK,as soon as i can get this i will get this,it sounds better then FPSC is(Besides of the fact it has no Scripting, and i requires some plugins to compile the Dark Basic Codes)

I meant with Save Options not ingame options, but the editor options,as it seems like there is no way to save thre options.

ok, I understand, it's when you edit the game properties, or map propertie ? The 5 windows available from tab ?
Simply that the changes are automatically applied when selecting one.
