Is it possible in DBP to acquire pictures from a attached webcam? can anyone show me how to do it?

You can do this through dlls. Standard cameras can be accessed through this method.

I tried to do this some time ago but only found a "vpbcom.dll" which took a snapshot of the screen and saved it in a file. This is completely useless where any streaming data is needed. I am a lot into robotics and capturing video ( or pictures ) to be processed in DBP would be awesome but of all the cameras that I have tested I haven´t been able to acquire anything .

Try this. I downloaded it from this forum or the codebase, cant remember who made it. Hope it works.

It really works!!

I just tried it out with a Logitech Quick Cam Web and it´s spectacular. I just hope that the HD can take so much data being written / read on the same clusters so many times without damage. This opens a whole new world of posibilites...

I also have a quick cam by Logitech but all I get is the program has encountered an error "Send a report to Microsoft " error

*Codger* make sure you have the latest drivers for your webcam if yours is a logitech then check there website as well make sure any program that may use a webcam is closed ex. msn just to be safe

I cant get it to work either Im using the xbox live vision camera and all the drivers are installed

On a scale from one to ten one being very smart and ten being an absolute genius your none of the above
