Hello after having an idea for my Chaos Mode Level Pack that is coming along with the demo of Falter: Rebirth

I have rewritten and tested this awesome death script.

yes it is. it is used when the enemy is killed in space or any kind of weightless environment. i believe it would look well underwater too

That looks realy cool, just one suggestion though it might be a good idea to add a line in the script to 'destroy' the floating characters when they are a certain distance away from the player.

Sorry AG, but the clip shows NOTHING that is awesome.

There are 2 NPCs right in front of you when the video starts which neither move nor shoot - only behind those 2 is a 3rd enemy who's actually shooting. After you killed this one, he's frozen in a sitting postition and you completely ignore him while you're playing dead space with the other 2 (btw, there is also a 4th one, who's allready frozen and gets ignored)

So either you are not very good ad video capturing/editing or your script doesn't work and you tried to pull our leg (most politely said).

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

the script does work story teller.. yes im not the best at everything... but at least i got the script to function.. my laptop sucks and i have noticed that when I'm video recording and alot is in my level. scripts start malfunctioning.

I respect your crit storyteller, but you still kind of came off like an ass. pardon my language.


If there is nothing awesome about this. why don't you try to get it to work, instead of just complaining. As for the video...I wasnt trying to impress anyone... the video was just so you could see the script. yeah its not perfect and i really dont care.. it worked for me and what im using the script for. if you dont like the way the script acts? change it, thats all im going to say. now if anyone else has something brilliant to add please do.


I have never played dead space btw... so I frankly don't know what you're talking about story

Please don't. I happen to know a thing or two about scripting and a script is either written well and works reliably or the script is crap and doesn't work 9 out of 10 times.

But, pal - if I get a playable map (The map you used for the video would be more than enough) where I can shoot to kill someone whos dead ragdoll body I then can kick floating into space....I'll sincerly apologize and make amends.

I have enjoyed some of your released work. i believe you have done a few scripts for me in the past. if you are up to it. i would love to see your version of this script.

Actually, from about 0:19, one of the enemies float up in the air!

And @AG, the file you wanted me to try is an .fpm which of course leaves me witha stock media map and nothing else. So much for testing...

im not going to give you everything... you want to try the script... put some of your own stuff in a map and try it out. This thread is for a script. not a script, the map, and everything that comes with it.

DO me a favor.. stay the hell off my threads. It is 6:22am here... too early in the morning to be dealing with petty nonsense.

@AG You could have just sent me the map (or a donwload link) as a built game - as I proposed (it does actually build, does it?). Just as everybody else does, whom's stuff I am testing. No one sends me .fpm donwloads.

And I have nothing against your script, I haven't even looked at it yet. I just don't happen to like video clips that don't show what the author claims they do show.

I use 1.19

the script doesnt allow you to kick the corpse away.

just adds a weightlessness effect to the ragdoll after death.

you can push it like a regular dynamic object.

set the script for the entity destroy.

edit the physics settings like shown below




Upon death the enemy will float slowly.
