An 2D map Editor made with DBC. Sorry no screen shots. I have also added to the readme file 2 snippets that you will need to LOAD MAP and LOAD BITMAPS. I have been working on this for 5 days.

What Is does:
Menu system
Save / load maps
Mult bitmaps loader (loads 20 bitmaps Then splits them in to 100)

Here are the limits:
MAP MAX X / Y = 1,000
Number of layers = 5
Number of bitmaps 2,000 ( IN 20 Bitmaps )

I looking for Tiles Size(16 By 16) to add to my Editor. If you Post them here you will be added to my credits that is if i uses them. There must be one that you have made or FREE.

There are colour tiles in TILE PACK 20 that you can use to test this program.

What should I add to make it better?
Heve you found any bugs?

well i think to make it better would be to make it nicer
although it was already easy to use.

how would i make it nicer?
Change some of the graphics?
Change the lay out?

I was think of adden 3D buttons but i have to find one that i like.
then change that code in to a function. Like Draw_Button(X , Y , Width , Height , Caption$ , Colour_Back_Red , Colour_Back_Green , Colour_Back_Blue , ETC )

I have added some colour options that you can change E.g. Text , Line , Back ground and button back ground.

I will post the next version Next week i think?

I was thinking of adden a raster , Text scroll at the bottom of editor screen.

Did the Snippets work? If not there shound they are from my code.

thanks for the link. The snippet is not very big.
Mine is 900+ lines. 52KB in size. Must of the code is the menu system.

i'm dune some upgrades like 3D buttons, mult file format and some other things.

I Got some free MAP TILES that will be on the next download. also some map demos.

Does anyone now how to do a Brower For saveing / loading? If yes post links or snippets.

I was thinking of adden A bitmap editor? If yes let me now.

New download Map editor version 0.005.002. New map tiles have been added with 2 demos maps. You are able to overwrite files. 3D button have been added. Some other things but right now i can not think of them. The defalt colours is blue see screen shot below. The new file format is string it is about 3 time as large as byte file format. You can still save as byte file format. The editor is still slow about 30 FPS. I'm working on makeing it faster it will be on the next download. Also a new browers for saveing / loading if i can get it to work.

Yes i'm going to create a 2d RPG game. But first i'm working on an 2D RTS. Also some more upgrades for the editor. like some sound / music / NEW file type / ETC.

I will post a new editor V 8.??? in the next day or two. I have added sound / music / mew menu style / Able to load an old file format (.MAP). So other things as well.

Here is the new version of my map editor V 0.008.001.

I have added a new file format called BN2 This file format gets rid of a bug win the BIN format. The bug is With the write byte code you can not write a number > 232.

I have change the text scroller to an megascroller with some a text bitmap.

There are some other changes to the position of the buttons. Also i have added some more questions , options , Load and save screens.

Old version
V 006.??? Was a new menu system + sound + Music
V 007.??? Addad a new megascroller + some other things
V 008.??? addad a new file format
