ok... so... on some forms, i have seen things where they tell you to "rip" 3D sprites off of games... i wanted to rip a mario 64 sprite... but don't know how... how do u do this>?

i dont think its legal for all games. but most commercial games write their own formats so you want be able to import anything from mario 64

rip, 2d sprite plates, that are rendered from 3d models, but are really only 2d image cells

maybe if you downloaded fraps (or similar program) and recorded a video? Then went through frame by frame gathering the pictures. Then photoshopping them one at a time to isolate the character. It will be hard to go through every one and fix them and I imagine recording video of the game will not catch every single frame of animation. I think it's gonna be a hard task...

terrible suggestion crazy, each video frame would be compressed losing quality.

You could just render each frame the same size...

Yay I got FF XII, and it totally rocks! Love the new battle system
