And read NickyDude's guide. I've heard that is very helpful.

Also you can check out my site.

There is a forums there. That's what I'd go check out. It's great for newcomers.

Finding Nicky dudes PDF is going to explain loads to you. I'm taking it your a DBP'er looking at FPSC to perhaps speed up your pipeline by looking at your join date and post history.

M3 is a pack I believe everyone should own too.

I guess the best piece of advice is to just read literally everything you can. Make sure and read the stickies so you know what questions you have are posted in the right place.

Be thoughtful and conscious of your fellow forum members. This really confuses some, because they don't get that bumping a thread in the models and media section for a post that should be in product chat, or your wire frame wip of a mesh bumping a thread when it should be in 3dChat, is down right selfish, and most forum members have no problem telling people just how selfish that act was.

You'll find most around here to be really willing to help provided we get a feel for your personality. We'll be able to tell the kind of person you are in only a couple post. Barring you needing to be spoon feed answers because you can't be bothered with a search engine, you'll find most of us have had the same questions and workflow problems as your about to enjoy(heh?), and are willing to share our experiences to help you.

Best advice anyone can give is to read. Get to know the forums and what's expected of this community as a whole, and what we expect of each other.

Nice to meet you..
Welcome to our nightmare

Hi DB newbie, welcome to the forums. As you said, you bought it a while ago. Make sure you read the manual when it comes, and also as I posted on another post, when you get FPSC be sure to check out these videos I found on youtube. They are really helpful. Anyways, I'll see you around.

I think you should play other people's FPSC games (only good ones) to see what the engine is capable of and see some good ideas.
