it sounds like you need my tutorial.

go to http://www.zaibatsugames.com/ and to the downloads section. its the only file there so it shouldn't be hard to find. Please leave your comments in my guestbook.

you will need the program UV Mapper. the classic version will work fine and its free. just google UV mapper

Milkshape does have uv mapping but it is quite clumsy and lacking in features. It's quite normal for people to model stuff in Milkshape, map it in Lithunwrap (which is free) or something similar, and import the result (you import the uv map on top of your milkshape model) into milkshape. It's a bit of a pig to do at first (i'll probably have troubles when i come to do it again), but works fine.
