Mr Makealotofsmoke, I just sent an email to you about an alternate name for the rating site. I researched it and the only that came up was the mention of tigrs on this forum.
thanks again.
EDIT: I finally did get an answer from TIGRS. Here it is.
Hello!
Apologies for not responding earlier, I've been exceptionally busy the last month!
I'm in the process of testing a new method of badge creation that
prohibits blatant abuse of the rating. (Like, Strong Violence with a Family Friendly rating.)
Additionally, I'm reworking the system to allow badges to be revoked automatically if abuse
is reported. And, if a developer circumvents that revocation by (copy/pasting the graphic,
for example), the image is protected under copyright and trademark laws, so a swift DCMA
takedown notice to his webhost is all that is necessary to enforce
the rating.
TIGRS is in almost every way supported by the community, from enforcement and verification
to promotion and public awareness.
Thanks for your interest in TIGRS and please don't hesitate to ask
any more questions! (I'll do my best to be more prompt, next time!)
All the best,
Daniel Kinney

My question is how effective could this system be? Even if someone reports abuse and legal action is taken it would cost more to take them to court then would be gained. I'm not sure how well that would work.
I would like to make it clear that I never said that TIGRS would fail. So please don't anyone think that. I just think that there are some serious holes in the legal side of the system is all. I am not a lawyer and I can't say for sure how well it work, I just question the power of it all.
EDIT: The rating site is up and running. I'm sure that it needs a few things. I will be adding to it and making it better as time goes on. You can follow the link to read the thread.
