I only meant to draw this as an example for another thread, but i actually really like how it looks.

so as i have a lot of free time starting tomorrow, i'm going to model it, as well as doing the tgc compo.

i'll update as soon as i'm happy with the low poly model.

Very nice el zilcho.
You realise you could submit it to the compo as well dont you, as Tim Burton directed Batman.

he did???

i never knew that.

wow, so many ways to go.. maybe i should just focus all of my energy on one idea.. but i prefer the batman idea, and i think people will be looking more for the puppety look that i've planned to do the ninja turtle with. i'm not sure if i can enter more than 1 model.

perhaps a scene with batman fighting the zombie ninja turtles?

ninja vs ninja*4 haha

and thanks btw.

looks good

yah, Tim Burton has done a lot of movies, lot of styles. He did the first two Batman films, which is why they were so dark, and good, lol. The last of them were aimed at a kid audience. Though Batman Begins was really cool. You could also do a model from Big Fish, because thats a TB film, and it looks nothing like his usual work.

He did Beetlejuice and Nightmare before Xmas, really there's a good scope of models you could do for the compo.

This little guy looks great though, very neat model, he should look amazing when textured. He reminds me a little of the old isometric speccy game (like Head Over Heels), it rocked, and had cute bat-graphics...

Can you find him?, he's standing in the northeast doorway asking the 2 dogs if they take sugar in their tea.

Believe it or not, i think i remember seeing a batman Game in the style of "head over Heels" at one point.

Can't remember if it ever came out thou, or just made it to beta, as saw it in one of my old mags

To try this, I've got to be nuts!!!

I can quite believe that Crazy Andy, because I just posted a screenshot of it, there are prettier versions of it, but the spectrum had a certain charm, I mean look at him with his hands on his hips .

It reminds me of one episode of Justice League where Batman got turned into a kid by some magic or something. I didn't like the episode, it was quite annoying and he and Wonder Woman were acting like dorks about their crush.

The model looks great, can't wait to see it textured. It would be awesome in a game.

Come see the WIP!

@ moondog - thanks. i already tried a veautiful joe style game with 2d sprits in a 3d world. starring a superhero called 'average man' who was slightly overweight and fought crime in small villages I agree that it would look cool in a game, but I'm just doing this to test myself atm, but who knows. i have a lot of spare time.

@van b - thanks very much! haha he doesn't look quite as intimidating as the current batman. maybe adam west though..

@ cash curtis - thanks a lot man! likewise, i can't wait to texture it who knows.. i might try and come up with some ideas for a game. not just yet though.

Update: i've made the face better, more batman like, it's kind of a unique looking batman (the face i mean, not that the rest of it is completely un-original ) also, he has the spikey gloves, more defined abdominal armour and a pair of eyes!

and its taken ages, tweaking everything. next i'll get on to modelling the hands, and then uv-mapping it, ready for a texture.

i added some cool lighting, so that the facial features are more apparent.

I am no expert, and have trouble modeling a cube, but that is great in my book. I love the look and proportions of the model. I too look forward to seeing it textured. Great work.

Making nothing for the forth straight year.
