oh yeah.

Do you realise somming.

If sony were forced to use DBPro as a language we all become highly payed programmers.

Either that or BB3D gets sony and nFinity stays on as a standalone.

The Outside is a evil place to be, too much light, too much noise and too many distractions....
I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

@Raven

Please mind your manners - whilst I can understand that you are a little frustrated, swearing isn't acceptable and will not achieve anything.

As novel as the whole concept is, I think that trying to organise anything on this scale will need a separate forum and website - with just a link here.

I agree with you there Rob, if people want to view this, and Raven and the others want people to stop posting such negative stuff then maybe a link should be provided to their own website/forum where it can be discussed/viewed there

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Why didn't i think of that? ... OH WAIT i did, and there has been one for almost a week now. However there is very little going on in it, people are asking their questions here - so they are being answered HERE.

If you don't like this project... WHY THE HELL ARE YOU STILL READING THIS POST?
And if you actually want to help what the hell are you trying to give everyone a bloody hard time about this?

As for Neo's Questions if you care you repose them over at the FMTau Forum then i will be glad to answer them, i've had about as much as i can take of the attitude on this forum.

Well, as we all program games in DB anyway, what is the harm of considering FMTau as a publisher when the next game is finished?
"

Since your assuming i'm talking to you. I'll give you my opinion.

What have they have they published so far ?. Have FMTau actually produced anything more than just hot air ?. I can't find anything produced under the FMTau banner in a downloadable format. However sprinkled through these forums there are lots of 'preview' hype.

It's been mentioned FMTau have muscle to act as the liaison with EA no less, since December 2002. (..we'll soon find out won;t we ) There are plenty of opportunities through the DB community for them to embrace and bring to market if they did have. So where are they ?, what kind of liaison is reactive and not proactive ?. I'd want to see a letter of intent from the E.A. of any such agreement exists, before it's taken as a real option. Personally I believe it to be it's a figment of Ravens imagination.

Raven is a rare breed. He's a risk taker. He's prepared to take a chance to achieve his dreams. For every unique person like this there are a hundred others who will try to knock him down. You see taking a risk is hard. It requires a lot of courage. Where as kncoking someone down is easy - you have nothing to lose - and if you're right it means you get the satisfaction of saying "I told you so". Well big deal - good for you, but I prefer to associate with the people that have balls and courage, because ultimatly they're the ones that are going places.

Thought at the very least you should check out the company behind this product.

Looks like someone's got your name.

the trademark is for nFinity Incorporated as a company and nFinity Logo, which means that legally can still have the name.
that said usually i get told when someone is too close to risk.

i'll take a little time out today to scour the trademark site, see whats been taken at what hasn't ... i guess as Brents doing my job this week i should do his.

PD,
I realise that asteroids is not going to be for nFinity. In fact, I realise that no game will ever be made for the nFinity. It wasn't a mis-conception. It was a bit of sarcasm. If you would have read the whole thing, you would have seen that I was saying that there is no way that it could compete with the 3 main consoles that are already out. Not necessarily your game, but the platform itself. If you want to be mad at me for voicing my opinion and calling a bluff, then so be it. I have nothing against you and wish you well.

Ok guys after sifting through this post I have to say Im appaled at the contents! Its one thing not to support an Idea and its another to sit there and spent hours bad mouthing it and the person who thought it up it really doesn't matter if the person lies cheats and steals.

Another thing Id like to point out is being one of the few female programmers on here I dont take well to comments such as "does she have Bouncing tits?" Is this a porn forum or sex chat? no. Keep your rude and male egotistic comments to your self or I can go into lengths about talking about some of your hairy body parts bouncing if you truly insist upon it..

This is suppose to be a professional forum set aside to asssist those learning DB Pro/classic, support the product, give others a chance to show Ideas and it should be used as such.

This is not a slang bar.

So put your child like behaviours away you know who you are and start acting like the adults you claim to be.

Ok Im done venting have a nice day.

IMO it does matter. People are being misled. If I was to post a topic with tall tales such as the ones that have been told in this post, Raven would be the first to have a crack at it. It is complete crap and a couple of people have the guts to call him on it instead of following this like a bunch of sheep. I say Bah! not Baa!

UW,

Quote: "What have they have they published so far?...I can't find anything produced under the FMTau banner in a downloadable format..."

I appreciate your concern UW, however I don't really see how this relates to the point you make. If FMTau is willing to pay, lets for arguments sake say £1 for a game, and I can only get 50p from A.N.Other, who should I sell the game too?

Lady Ice,

The biggest complaint upon the launch of the original Tomb Raider game was the concrete solidity of a certain part of Lara Crofts anatomy (I myself spent several hours proving this) and my reference 'do her tits bounce?' was directly based upon that and in context.

I realise that only a few forum readers would know the reference but I knew that Raven would (Raven of course made the previous post referencing Lara Croft).

There is such thing as feminist humour too, and i'm quite happy to take such things on the chin. Feel free to malign male-kind in any way you see fit, but do please try to keep to relevent context, innane rantings are not the domain of a 'professional forum'.

What is absolutely diabolical is someone claiming someone is lying without any proof. It's like one person saying "I have a fiver in my pocket" and another saying "Well I can't see it so therefore you must be lying" - What kind of freakin logic is that?

So claiming people are being mislead purely on your guess work is disgusting.

Soyuz has a point,

However I have my doubts too, but I keep them to myself, I really don't see the need in posting about them, I hope, yes, I really do hope this project is true and takes off, but if it is all one big lie, well let us let people figure out by themselves.

Raven,
Yeah, I said I would quit posting on this subject. If that is what makes me full of crap then so be it. After I said that though, it was brought up over and over again by others, including yourself. So if you people want this thread on topic then you can start by doing it yourself.
...and actually I do quite a bit of work.
...and actually I have heard that little song of yours before.

Soyuz,
I get what you are saying. What is being said on one hand though is that not enough information is available for any real "details" on the nFinity, yet Raven has been able to convince some of the top publishing companies to work with him. Most cases I will give people the benefit of the doubt, but that is just stupid.

Everyone else,
While I do stand by the points that I have tried to make, I do apologise for approaching it aggressively. I am not one to care what other people think of me. If you think I'm an arse, that is fine. I am not going to say that I will not participate in this topic anymore, but I will try to keep control of my typing. My bet though is that "someone" will try to instigate me to attack.

Weird how such a bad idea "This is the biggest pile of bullshit ever!
" etc has generated so much response.

Personally I would love to see it work, I also have experience of programming for a big(ish) company and would love the chance to make some bucks for my efforts. I am concerned about the cost Vs price point though and doubt whether the losses would be recovered from software unless you had quite a large user base, which means marketing, which means more money.

But, we can all dream. If this ever does materialise into our current reality count me in

Yes, erm, with all due respect, it isn't wise to play a card you don't own.

Well - good luck guys - but christ - you can't use this thread any more and communicating via email is a bad idea.

Maybe you could set up a project on SourceForge, if the software is open source, then you could use the site to discuss hardware as well.

It's very hard to pick out the evil people in these threads when the side i'm arguing against can be so insightful:

Quote: "My bet though is that "someone" will try to instigate me to attack."

Almost certainly. I once left the forum after disagreeing with Simple. It lasted 2 days but I couldn't take the cold turkey and tentatively came back. You just know that a hot thread will entice you back, especially when 'they' might quote you...

Quote: "Raven, you remind me of all the best comedians, you surely know that you are hilarious - but you'll never work out why."

This analysis Rob gives just cracks me up for being totally accurately innacurate.

So when is this thread going to die? Have we found a sucessor to the Al-Qeeda thread?

PD,
Well, I'm going to have to quit cold turkey after tomarrow... for a little over a week anyway. I'm going on vacation. I'll be sitting on the beach, sipping a cold beverage and this thread will not enter my mind once. I will be interested to see where it has gone though when I get back. The fact is that if the thread ever gets back on topic, it will die. In this whole mess of posts, I bet there are less than 10 that are "on topic". That can't all be blamed on me or the "mouse" in my pocket. LOL
I call shots as I see them and sometimes it is hard not to reply. I even remember one thread that I read one time that I agreed with Raven on something :-s ...it was only once though.

Keep coding.......

Once everyone who seems to have a problem with me decides to actually bugger off the perhaps it will, but it doesn't matter if it does or doesn't anymore because this thread was unstuck to stop you people who said you'd just stop posting if it were and ya'll kept posting (these are the same people who are claiming i'm lying here btw)

So quit frankly this thread has already gone to pot a long time ago and anyone who wants real information should already know where they need to go for it, as anyone making such comments over there will simply have them deleted - some people need to learn there is a difference between being against something and hatemongering.
The mentality of those who are pushing against this project (amusingly trying to use the escapegoat of "i'm not against this i just think its a crock of shit" excuse so if it does succeed they can go "oh i was never against it" and quote themselves) is pretty much the same as those twats at the G8 summit which caused a riot ... a bunch of the world leaders trying to convince the other world leaders in implimenting a tonne of very good new policies, suchas new polutions laws and firearm laws, just to have it overshadowed by people rioting that this summit is even going on!

No doubt the news will herald these people and take it in the light that they were doing something for a right and just cause and all of the world powers will look bad, and the fact it started will also look bad for security ... but to be honest this is kinda how i see what is going on here, a few bad apples are always out to try and insite something to make sure thier voice is heard, always believing they're doing it because it is some noble ass cause when really all their truthfully looking for is a fight.

just fuckin' grow up
