Quote: "If you can do better then please do so and help the communtiy[sic] out and maybe make a few bucks in the process. If not then your[sic] just making your self look silly."

What does me giving C&C to a project have to do with my skills? Isn't it a bit of an old argument to dismiss someone's comments just because they cannot or will not make anything to the same caliber? In other words I have no intention of making a competitor to PGP but that does not mean I cannot give comments to it, and it certainly does not make me look silly.

Quote: "If you have a valid point then don't just say it, prove it. Hack the current version of PGPS and send proof of this to DarkFact. He can then improve the program. If there is something that you have to contribute then I'm willing to listen. If all your[sic] going to do is talk down the work of others then my ears hear you but your[sic] an annoyance more than anything."

Prove what? most of my points had nothing to do with the protection, in each case when I gained access to the files I posted proof, what more do you need? Perhaps you may see my comments as talking down to a project but they are just honest feedback you can go ahead and tell everyone your sugar coated responses, I like to get to the point.

Quote: "If you could list the ways to make PGPS better, what would they be?"

You're their PR rep now? As said before the protection could be better, Benjamin suggested a much more effective method of media protection in the other thread, the amount of times I've accessed the files alone should be a wake up call to take the issue more seriously as the product is called 'Game Protection' after all, if it can't protect very well then you're only inconveniencing users rather than safeguarding their work.

Quote: "I will tell you what you will do next. You will make another ettempt[sic] to make me look bad. After that the subject will die. It will die because I chose to let it. I could keep you going forever if I wanted. You can't help yourself. It's a fever inside you to get the last word. Your[sic] predictable."

FYI I only replied again because you mentioned me in three posts, I was actually willing to let the issue drop. Another attempt to make you look bad? Well that isn't very hard as all I did was point out a few issues that I saw and you seemed to take what I said very personally and incessantly posting defending my claims. If anything it's you who is baiting me into replying as you first call me a punk albeit rather subtly and after you noticed I didn't reply you mentioned me by name apparently replying to someone's post on the previous page which you had obviously seen beforehand so really, who is the one who has a fever inside of them?

Everyone on this planet knows that you can write a program, set up partitions, use virtalpc, use shared files, and 50 other ways to beat some of the protection methods.

The fact that protected files can be accessed is in no way proof that Phoenix, Vishnu or even FPSPack Pro are ineffective products. These products are meant to provide "better than nothing" protection and that's the bottom line.

As I learn more about programming, I will update and improve the protection methods of Phoenix right until the time that files are never decrypted or extracted to a physical location. And even then, I will not claim that PGPS is 100% bulletproof.

Since Saturday over 100 people I've never heard of on these forums have downloaded and tried out Phoenix for themselves. 90% or better have written back to me with cheers of joy and thanks.

That's good enough for me.

EDIT: The next update will have a "Protection Disabled" option for those who want the added features of Phoenix without the hindrances of protection placed upon the end-user. You will still have the option to require end-user registrations, of course.

As DarkFact stated, PGPS is not 100% bulletproof. Nor is ANY protection method even Microsoft's. How do I know, as I work and certified by Microsoft and its partners, I know that every program out here is based on a set a rules, rules that can be broken. as long as it is on a computer it can be broken.

For the NORMAL user PGPS is a perfect solution. If you are cracking applications lets face it you are not a NORMAL user now are you?

Enough said.

We stand behind our product never the less. Show me a application that does everything that PGPS does for the price we offer it at. FREE is unbeatable.

@DarkFact and FastBurst: Well spoken. It was not my intention to start anything major. I just hate it when people think that the only way to express themselves is by being aggressive. I have 3 blackbelts from three different arts and schools and an honorary instructor status in another art and school. I have made a living in kickboxing and in more then one field of security work including VIP protection. With all that under my belt I still don't feel the need to attack something just to make others aware of my opinion. People now seem to call common politeness "Political Correctness" and refuse to conform to it because of social laziness. Respect used to be something that people extended to each other by default. What is the world coming to when we can't just be cool to each other.

Again I'm sorry for being a factor in something that got a little out of hand. I will do my best to see to it that I don't do that to any of your threads again.

The person that now knows the most started with many questions. Patients and tolorance are the keys to the passage of knowledge. http://gamedesigntech.byethost7.com/

Update: 3 Aug 07

Version 1.1.0.19 is now ready with a few requests added.

The ability to turn protection (run-time) off has now been added.

All speed issues have been addressed by removing "overkill" protection methods that were running on timers. Open Windows Task Manager while running a game, go to yourgame.exe in the process list and watch the CPU cycles used. It won't hit above 6% at any time on my computers and is 0% most of the time. Of course, this value varies with all running apps.
