Just got back from town well 2 hours ago. My sis took me, my dad and her boyfriend out for a meal at Nando's a portegese fancy resturant. Took 30min to get in lol. Place is reknown for hot sauces ^_^. I got half a chicken spicy rice and chips. After wed all ordered we got 1/4 chicken free ^_^. I finished my huge meal happily, still hungry i decided to place a bet with my sis's boyfriend, i bet i could eat the chicken quart with very hot sauce.

It went mild - warm - medium - hot - Very hot - Diablo

Since i wasnt alowed diablo due to food standards, you had to sign a waver lol. So i covered the quart in very hot and dug in. I cant taste nothing now. Staff said it can take up to a week till it returns so everything tastes like wet cardboard now.

I won the bet and put him to shame since he backed out after tasting a drop of the sauce.

I got 50% off our meal so it only cost £25

Checked my email just now - two good things.

1: Somebody's asked me to do some storytelling for them. (To kids)

This will be some good practice, somebody training to be a teacher wants to do a lesson on fables. I might do it, as long as I don't need to be CRB checked or whatever the new law is, as those things can take up to 6 months to pass. From having read regulations in the past, I think if a member of staff is present, and it's a one-off, you're okay.

2: Our Student Union has decided to reward the hard work of the Presidents of every society by giving them a free ticket to the university's Snow Ball...as a president, naturally I've got one. Sadly, the line up of bands this year is terrible, though there's a couple of comedians, so I'll definitely go along for the party and have a laugh.

Did you know that "Uniclops" Is the correct term for "cyclops"? Cyclops refers to the cycle-riding indigenous uniclopses of up dakota (right above north and south dakota), much in the same way that monoclops refers to the colonies of uniclopses suffering from mono.

Just had a super-duh moment with teh physicz. It's better now. Turns out I was rotating the collision box twice, once when it was created and again in every loop.


But now I need to cram more buttons onto my GUI. I forgot about offsetting the collision box from the object's origin.

Looking good, someone needs to slip me over the head and tell me to stop adding more in mine and just debug, i've added the ability to load an image map for creating bare bones 3d mazes, tunnels, ect
it loads an image like this:

and the different colors dictate the different texture to use for floor ceiling and walls, black color = empty space so it knows where to add walls.

Thanks dudes! I'm nearly done with this page of it, and then I can make the compound and ragdoll pages. I also have to look up various friction(static and kinetic, I'll have to add another box) and elasticity values for materials, they're probably on wikipedia or something.

Also, for some reason the terrain type (collision tree in Newton) is always slightly below the actual mesh:

and I can't use the offset matrix when creating the collision mesh like the other types. I guess I'll just have to figure out if it's a constant offset or relative to the object's size and adjust it afterward..

@Venge - You should try offsetting Limb 0 on it's Y axis before you create the body. I had a similar problem just today with Newton and a bit of experimenting with the offset fixed it.

Thanks marioman, but I just figured it out. I'd been using the optional limb-by-limb method for NDB_NewtonCreateTreeCollision(even though the object had no limbs), since the documentation said it may crash otherwise with high-poly objects. I removed that option and it lines up perfectly. It had also been creating extra copies of the collision mesh every time that command was called. They were all scaled and rotated randomly from the actual mesh too, it was kind of weird.

No zues, that would be the guy who get post 1337!.

Anyway, i havent worked on my NaGaCreMo entry in some time ive been realy busy writing a history essay. As i finished it i looked back on the specification sheet to see if i missed anything, i did. I missed the word Letters, i presumed it was words. Welll thats great its waaaaaaaaaay larger than it needs to be! Although i improved my editor drastically by adding this code!



Honestly it makes blue gui so much more awsome!, i advise evreyone to go get the u Skin dll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
