From Jon Fletcher himself.

Quote: "how about a comp to create an 'improvised weapon' kind of like what you see in bioshock, i remember seeing some crossbow which had two measuring rulers as that ...curve (technical jargon )

it wouldnt have to be limited to handheld weapons, there could also be turrets like those ones in the chairs

it would be a test of how you notice shapes and figures of common objects that can be placed together to create something, and its amusing to see how its done. "

Quote: "heres a better example: Mcgyver

(not really, lol)

you would need to create a weapon improvised from normal household/simple common objects, and model + texture this idea.

for instance you could have a catapult which uses a spoon to fire objects, or a bow made from rulers and an elastic band etc. use your imagination

but i dont know if that is too hard."

From my interpretation it's a create your own weapon from household objects competition. The deadline will be October 21.

Good luck!

Hmm, I might start doing these again. I've got a good week of break between now and then.

I've never done one of these, but I think I'll try this one.

Get ready to see a totally crappy entry from yours truly.

my first run ... Its a bicycle handel with socks used as chains and at the end of this lovely flail is a can of cooking oil jabed with nails. MMMMM Flails and as a bonus they're gym socks.lol

well the models mostly done needs some touching up and texturing on the socks and the can but i kind of like it also maybe ill make the nails more haphazardly placed. Im hopeing its origional enough i was concidering a modified angle grinder thar shoots cds of doom but i thought it would be more touble than its worth.

me is no can spell

Dragon, thats pretty sweet, but I'd recommend redoing the nails to make them look less machined. That weapon makes me think of something you'd throw together to fend off your zombie-turned neighbours clawing at the near-broken front door of your house. You wouldn't have time to organize the nails perfectly, rather you'd grab any assortment of rusted sharpness you can find and get it through the container as fast as possible... I.E: Pointing in different directions, some out farther than others, different types of nails, maybe a rusted one, etc.

But its your weapon , just what I'd invision making it look more realistic.

It will be fun. I shall join this one.

Deathead, your entry looks great. Playing games must be a richer experience with that television Dual shock and Wii's remote controllers.. bah

Dragon assasin, your weapon looks disturbing (in the good meaning, of course)

Mine will be very disturbing to look at too, I hope.

Actually, "KKK" sounds like laugh in our language. We do not support Ku Klux Klan. I would kill KKK if it was a man. Cheers.

My wip:
The gun is made from a flashlight, couple cans, tv-controller-thing(laser pointer),small binoculars as 'sniper zoom'. It uses batteries as ammo. Kindof a some shock gun. (not very realistic, but who said it should be )

Booo, I may not be able to join this one due to lack of time (again) Have tons of graphics work to do and I have to have a website as close to complete as possible by Thursday for a woman who sells bulldog puppies and soon after make it easily manageable by her. Confident I can do it, but still a bit of a close call as I'm learning a lot as I go.

Anyhow, by the end of the week I may have time to cram this model in before the deadline though it will probably be untextured and stuff :\

Good luck to all who entered. I like that Shock Rifle Deagle only you're right it's a tad undrealistic ^_^

Yup, you have until the end of today to finish it(12 hours 30 minutes my time, might vary a little), then it must be in the entry thread to be eligible to be voted on.
