For CodeKeeper common controls you can try:

Though Code Keeper may use earlier versions.
I think Code Keeper is really nice.
Also, I've used a series a different editors for DarkBASIC. The thing is, they have to be set up. The help files will tell you how. For large projects where I have to look at multiple scripts at once (like if I have the main program and a bunch of #include libraries I need to look at) I use source edit. It has a nice hex editor included with it and a scripting language/editor to create your own tools with. It also has a color selector (big deal huh?)
Source Edit
Crimson Editor is light weight, quick, and get's the job done. I used to use it for larger projects, but I like source edit a little better. This one is good though because it has so little overhead. The language highlighting is a little tricky to set up.

But DarkEdit is my first choice when I want to put something together quickly.
Ultra Edit is an editor I used to use at work. I thought it was one of the best text editors. I haven't used it in years but it probably has improved. Somewhere on the DarkBASIC forums I recall someone had setup a syntax highlighter for dark basic.

Enjoy your day.
