Quote: "This is partly why when I was using DBP I still used X format over DBO; because interpolation is done interally by Dx as set in the animation rather than by DBP which again does quite a poor job without manual adaptation."

That's completely untrue Raven. .x files are parsed into DBO format internally. If you save it as DBO then the only difference is that it loads quicker, and saves additional texture stage information. The interpolation works exactly the same.

Come see the WIP!

wtf!?! these graphics are amazing

Did you write the shaders yourself? Can you give them to me?
Can you give me all shaders you are using?

I mean the
- BLOOM/HDR
- SOFT SHADOW SHADADER
and especially the
- (SUN)RAYS SHADER (Or is that no shader?)

That'd be very nice!
Great work!!!

-MX

EDIT: ok
they are included
anyway thanks

@Mike : one simple question
are you using darkbasicpro for the demo ? How can you "combine" standard windows-gui (the one that you used for the option window...) and the dbpro-gui ?

@Bizar Guy: Oh...
@Master Xilo: I hope you understand how to use them though... But they're pretty simple anyway... Most of them came from evolved's shaders, only modified...

Ok i was inspired when i saw a couple of your pieces a while back, the bipedal robot thing with the rifle weilding girl atop, and the winged robot girl, they really were impressive. You are an awesome modeller.

so err...

What the hell is with this thing? your projects are getting more and more base and dirty by the minute, for no reason. Seriously, why do you want to create an overdosed on bloom program that views unrealistic underage looking girls doing it?

I agree with the others. making a visually impressive game would be so much more worth your time. not a softcore porn viewer with mildly impressive models that has 13 yr old DB forum going school kids drooling over it.

I'm sorry i'm being so harsh but tbh, I find this stupid.

Hey, come on. The guy's totally free to create what he wants to and apparently, it does sell as it seems from the website that he's quite active with his stuff. No reason to not create it except for some people looking at the stuff and then complaining, while the topic thread is a perfectly clear indicator of what is inside the topic.

I say, Mike, keep doing what you want to do. Personally, I'd love to see a full game with such graphics (and some clothing wouldn't hurt for age range) .

He can do whatever he wants, i'm just having a hard time figuring out why the hell he wants to do this.

And of course it's going to be popular, what spotty adolescent doesn't want to see 3d model girls jiggling about. It's just porn. which i personally think there is too much of already.

i'm just disapointed to not be seeing any inspired ideas or models coming from mike anymore.

again, sorry i'm being harsh, it's just my personal opinion on this kind of stuff.

Heh, sorry for being harsh back, but your opinion most likely holds little value for this WIP, besides discouraging Mike from doing what he likes to do. Personally, I'm not a fan of any form of porn in any case, but hey, technically this is just good stuff and if other like having, watching or creating it - why not.

I'm more trying to encourage him to do other things, because i really don't see the point in this and i loved his old work.

but that's probably not going to happen. I just felt like i should express my opinion. so I'll leave it now.

@el zilcho: I'd say this this is as good a use for DBPro as any, its a project created for a purpose (obviously not yours) with great media and effects.

The adult industry is alot more successful for independent developers than the games industry is.

I guess the jist is, this project has a market, probably more than any other project on this whole forum and if you don't agree with it then simply don't look.

Keep up the fantastic work Mike.

Sorry, but i'll have to disagree with that particular sentence...
According to Nekotaku, the owner (and producer) of the viewers, only around 20 people bought the past 2 viewers... So i don't think these viewers got the market... And by market, i mean people who buy the products, not people who likes it and pirates it... (This is my main reason why i canceled Virgo...)

Quote: "It's just porn. which i personally think there is too much of already."

In contraire, it's actually rare... Images, videos, and flash, sure they're tons and tons... But realtime 3d, i've only seen 3-4 companies who makes such products, and imo, their graphics are old school...
I make such because i'm always not satisfied to what i usually see, so i'll just make my own, even if it's badly made...
I fancy cute 3d, not real-life naked mole rats with tons of body hairs... Heh...

Quote: "I'm more trying to encourage him to do other things, because i really don't see the point in this and i loved his old work."

Thanks. This viewer is a commission for a friend, so i don't have the full control to make it look "inspiring"... So my only way to make it at least great is to concentrate on the graphics that can be reused for future projects...

Hate to be a negative Nancy, but honestly, do you think underage kids are going to resist clicking into this WIP? Good luck with this.
