I am looking for a way of building up my portfolio in 3d so I was wondering if there were any needy souls out there who would like some high quality models from an aspiring 3d artist.

my list of skills include

- imaginative, aesthetic, proffesional concept design
- Accurate, attractive, 'low poly' 3d modelling, ie nothing next gen.
- Good, and currently improving texturing abilities.
- Capable animator with good eye for movement.

All i ask is that i know about the project, how far along it is (with evidence of this), and updates on what you will be doing with it in the future. I'll only choose one project.

I don't even care if you havn't really started the project, if it's just a crazy but brilliant concept, and you have proof that you are able to pull it off, programming wise then that's fine.

I'm better at modelling fantasy type stuff, i have more enthusiasm for it. vehicles, characters, monsters, weapons, environments(not so much though), it's all a possibility. I have other responsibilities though, like college, so this will be a part time thing, and although i'll work hard, i will go at my own speed.

PS. If your game is an MMORPG, or RPG, it's unlikely i'll say yes, unless it is a really proffesional project.

well, i REALLY need a gas ghost model for my and cool kid's game "Forgotten". The ghost is a kind of wispy, gassy spirit type thing with just a basic moving (it floats), attacking, dying and idle animation. the link to the site is in my signature. the thread can be found in WIP - it's a little way down and is entitled "forgotten the game". if you want to take this up that would be great.

well, because this is part of my portfolio that i am putting together, i'm really looking for something more involved, where I'll have more power over the style of the game etc, kind of like a lead 2d/3d artist.

So i'm not really just taking model requests like you have just asked.

I'm looking for someone who has great programming skills, and needs some great outside modelling skills because they don't have the time or ability to meet their needs.

Well.. I do not need any model, but I have one suggestion. It is something that I always suggest in these situations:

A caricature of yourself. Nothing realistic. Just a cool character for you to use as standard animation practice object.

But if you really want to make something that will be used by others, have a look at the WIP board, choose an interesting project and implore to be in the team. Just kidding. You are very talented.

Hi el zilcho I am finishing up a team for my Streets of rage project. We have a modeller/ animator for characters and enemies. You should look at Geisha House. There's another thread of mine on this board for modeling work. The demo is almost done and it's going to be published.
