A router has ports, so open them. So the game can connect.

Yes, the fact that it's wireless makes no difference.

You need to forward UDP port 2303 to your computer. Go here, find the router you have, and look at the default router guide for it. It should explain how to forward ports.

A friend of mine has a wireless router and does not have to forward ports in order to be able to host.

In contrast to his, I forward the ports and am still not able to host with my router (not wireless). I have to connect without it, then I can host.
