Yeah, really nooby, I know!

I've searched the help and all that jazz, but there isn't much about it.

I know people have made their game models in Maya, but how do you export it to .X?

By the way, I have Maya 2008.

Thanks.

xD you have Maya 2008, the most expensive version OF the mayas to begin with, and you didnt know how to export models.

<sarcasm> Thats definitely been legally purchased. </sarcasm>

Oh yeah, funny.

I bought a computer off my friend who does 3D graphics practically as a second job. It was his old computer and he left a load of software on it, he got his Maya license transferred to his new PC and left me with the other one, which is why I got 2008 (which came out in Mid 2007).

Anyway, it's the personal learning edition of Maya which is free. I know it leaves a watermark on exported animations but I didn't know about exported models.

Right, thank you Veintitres. That clears it up.

I'm sorry I caused confusion for people here. Ruccus, I hope you believe me, I made a silly mistake and I faced the consequences of your comments.

Can a mod please lock this thread before anything gets out of hand? I've learnt my lesson not to post stuff like that again.

Sorry to everyone.

I have a legit copy of maya and have not completely exported x corrently. There is very little support for it and even with my system of exporting it is very difficult and buggy.

Cipher, could you show me the page for the method you've found? And does it export the animation correctly?
