What I really want is for the sci-fi assault rifle to be rigged with hands. That would just be freakin awesome.

Hm...just tried it out. The hand is using the Python's texture...

Also, how come the animations are so much faster than normal?

If you're not seeing the hand texture, you haven't installed it correctly.
make sure you overwrite the old gunspec.txt and copy across the hand.dds texture. And if you're still having problems...check it again.

Try turning off shaders or removing the "effect" field in the gunspec.

Sorry guys, my mistake, the gunspec.txt file was wrong.
The main download has been updated, but heres the corrected file if you don't want to download again.

Not bad, but... I expected a more "powerful" shooting animation... It's a Super-mega-cool-hyper-powerful revolwer, not a weak 9mm...

Wonderfull!
I have a question, after downloading the first version (when the hands got the same texture as the gun) there was some very cool effects on the gun that I never seen before. I walked past a ligthsource and noticed that the ligth was reflected on the phyton, not just being darker and lighter, it actually went with the ligths.
This doesnt happens to the other weapons and not on the phyton with the new download.
Do you know how to do this again? It was quite cool.

I think I've seen this also with Jons Beretta. Use full shaders and assign diffrent shaders to gun until you'll find it...

That does just affect the pickup, or is there somewere else I can edit the shade effects?

Does the guns also have their attributes? I may be mistaken, but I think they are in textfiles...

You probably turned off Dynamic Lights and turned on Full Shaders.

That happened to me once; pretty awesome!

Hmmm...

Quite odd. Also, I forgot to add: if anyone ever played XIII and used the .44 revolver, then look at the python with hands; it sort of looks somewhat like the interface for the .44...

What hand texture?

I haven't beat XIII; I'm still on that submarine level.
We're getting a bit off topic, though.

It looks indeed very nice in X9, but can't get it to work in X10, the model just disappears in-game, only remaining the crosshair and the muzzleflash when you fire.I know it hasn't been done for x10 but I would love to get it to work with it.
