i have this problem on anim8tor and i can't figure it out.
the problem is that i make making this hand and when i get to the thumb for some reason it's not solid so when i change the view to solid i can't see the thumb on the palm.

i will attach the file to this post so can someone help.

wow that is wierd...like you said when you got fireframe you can see it but solid you cant.. and when you trie to select the faces in wireframe its like nothing is there...sry i cant help

looks like you tried to build the thumb using lines.. that's allot more complicated you'll have to make and fill every gap..

Try this...



As the pic shows select the 'bad points' and delete them.

then...



Select the base 'face' as in the pic then 'Extrude' the face 3 times and adjust the positions of the joints using the select point and 'move' tools.

I hope this helps.

P.S. I just noticed a mysterious 'extra' point in the second image you'll need to delete that too.. just make sure all the points 'above' the base face on the thumb part are deleted.
