Here is my wip of the OMON soldier that i working right now.

His face remind me of Stalin , so that's why i will call him Stalin Junior

about OMON :

OMON is a generic name for the system of special units of police within the Russian and earlier the Soviet MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs).
here is an OMON unit in every oblast of Russia, as well as in many major cities (for example, there's OMON unit within Moscow City police department
and separate unit within Moscow Oblast police department). Their motto is " We know no mercy and do not ask for any."

Cheers ,

Kind of cool to do the face first. It gives the guy personality, while you work on the rest.

Nice job.

I think that if you use white camouflage it would look better.

wind27382 , I have already tried it but then he looks like a snow soldier.

I dont know if this is how you'll have him look in-game, but you need to work on the material properties. His face, hands, and hat are all reflecting too much light making them look like rubber or metal. Lowering down the reflectiveness and specular should fix it... which would require some spec and reflection maps.

His proportions are a little cartoonish (mainly his feet I think, if the transition between the toes and the ankle was more defined and his feet were a little more blocked out, itd look more real), I dont know if thats what you were going for or not, but it looks good. Keep it up.

thanks guys ,

Deathead , strange

RUCCUS , Yea I know what you mean , I'm going to work on it.
But the problems is when I'm creating low poly models I'm afraid that they will be to high poly. I guess that's why he looks like a looney toon.

Here is the texture of the character.

i think your normal map is too deep and isnt defining any details just overly deep bumbs and yes he looks very cartoony

i do like your uv map did you make the textures yourself?

good job
keep it up

nice model! although he is a bit cartoonish, it would make for a very unique style of game providing all the models were similar.
