If i have a normal map, can i apply it to an fpsc segment or entity? because i have made normals fo a few textures and i want to bump map my fpsc objects

he's arnold, arnold, arnold rimmer, without him life would be much grimmer, he's handsom and trim and no-ones slimmer, he'll never need a zimmer...

For segments rename the bump map so it has _N at the end of it's name, then edit the existing segment .fps in notepad to incorporate it....

I recommend using an already normal-mapped segment's .fps as a reference...

thanks, but can you do this with entities aswell?
and could you tell me what to change in the .fps? I dont know which ones are already normalled...

Alot if Sci-Fi ones are N-mapped, I'm not sure how to N-map entities though, that's somethin I've never tried....

There is a field you can add called texture_N = or something like that..

Perhaps you can N-map entities by editing the .fpe...

Yes it works with entities and segments.
The results doesnt look that great actually...
Best is to apply one to a character...than a entity or segment.

You need a specular map to let the normal map work in FPSC..
(or at least i thought that)
A specular map is a greyscale image with some parts darker than the other..etc..etc.
This time...you should put a _S at the end of the texture's name.

And! In the FPE(entities) or FPSC(segments) you need to apply an effect: Bump.fx or if you want something else...than you can check the remaining ones.
