If you want to export a file to Direct.x,there are a lot of possibilities that depends on the software you are using to create your 3D models.

If you use Milkshape to create 3D models then the program
allows you to export to diect.x
If you use 3dsMax there is a plugin install to export to direct.x
If you use Rhino3D you need to export to 3dsmax and then to direct.x

Milkshape is usefull because you can IMPORT Direct.x files
