Ive been working on a 3D Model Creator for the past week. Its pretty basic as it only has a few features.
FEATURES:
* Animated and easy to use interface
* 2 Camera views, side on and above.
* Plain, box, sphere, cone + cylinder primitive objects
* Load and export models as .dbo
* Load custom textures for object and limbs
* Scale textures
* Ghost object on or off
* Set object smoothing
* Edit object properties such as wireframe, cull, transparency etc
* add / delete limbs
* position / rotate limbs
* Full help file which can be loaded from interface
* Runs in 1024,750,32 display mode to get the best quality
Thats about it i think. I was gunna have object animation control but then I discovered that DBP doesnt have object animation commands for some reason. GET THEM BACK!
I'm going to release this as freeware when its finished.
heres some pics:
Create a new model by creating a folder to store all object data in
The interface shows important imformation about the model.
Type in the name of the texture that you want to use and it will texture the model or limb with it!
Type in a name for the model and export it to your objects folder
All object data is stored in its own folder for easy access. simply copy the folder into your games folder and load the model from there to use them in games
You can also load models to keep working on them or edit them
The ghost object command
you can set the properties of the object, but only for editting purposes. these wont show up on the final object. you can always just do it yourself in DBP or DBO!
Let me know what you think!
I think this would be really cool within a game as a sort of building creator or object creator.
any ideas just let me know
