the liquid sample physx projects included in the trial don't display correctly, I've attached a screenshot. they are hard to see, almost transparent, and don't move in a very liquid looking way.

I've installed the latest nvidia drivers, and it didn't change the problem

any ideas?

oh, I have a geforce 7950gt if that helps

I got the same problem, it looks terrible. How can we be expected to finish an entry in less than a month with this buggy annoying stuff?

To add to this, it looks perfectly fine on the demo provided with the drivers, and much faster than it is currently.

I get the same problem with hardware mode too as I have an ageia card.

I'm having this problem too and I have the 7950 GT as well. The Nvidia demo works fine, it's just the DBP projects that dont work right.

@ All: I wrote an e-mail to Mike reguarding the fluids and some other things/commands that I found "unfunctional" or "missbehaving". I thought I should let you all know what he said!

(This was also posted in the Update-thread!)

Here is my question to him reguarding the fluids-issue:

Here is what he told me about the "Fluids":

I get the same problem with fluids. So far only known it to work on 8800 cards. It's something we need to fix. I will check it out.

The fluids look horrible. I thought they'd be the old slime type, which I was going to use as blood in the competition. I'm not going to bother with these or the competition I'm afraid.

Come see the WIP!

Is this because i'm using the Trial version? Does this problem happen on the full version?

What is the deal with this fluids bug? I know someone here knows something, could you please just share and not have all of us waste our time? When I run the fluid demo that came with the Nvidia PhysX drivers I see the green goo and it looks great. I've got an 8800 GTS 512MB + ASUS P1E PhysX card and I'm getting good framerates (~50FPS+).

However when I try to compile the fluid demo I get the cheesy looking transparent blue dots. It looks nothing like the demo included with the drivers and it looks nothing like liquid plus it runs really slow on top of all that. I tried with hardware support and without, same deal, however I am still running the Nvidia 175.19 drivers (not the new 177 since the 8800GTS is not officially supported yet). Does this only work on the GTX200 series drivers or something?

I've got DBP 1.069, PhysX drivers 2.8.1, running the special demo that you get from the contest page. Is there something I am missing? How come the fluid looks so good in the demo but not when you compile???
