Sounds like a good idea. How do you plan to do it?

I guess you could make every other level the "base" with ammo and stuff.

I had a simular idea, there is a way to do this, create your base level, then for the other levels use plys mod and write a script like this

Then when the player achieves his objectives he will be returned to the base. Now what every you plan to do at this base you can acheive it using variables

I was making my post when you posted this. I believe my method would be more effective

I believe my method is more simple. Wouldn't it be easier like so:

when you start the game, you start at the base. In the base there is a win zone to the next level. Every other level is the base level.

Simple as that! No scripts or anything needed.

Hope to see you ingame.

It would take up more space on your hardrive that way. lol

If you wanted it to be more than just a place to get ammo, say you pick your next mission there, then my method would be the one to use. otherwise use JohannesM's method

If you go about half way down the page you'll see that I did these 'base' levels. Of course that was when I really sucked at level design lol. Though a lot of people did like the look of the game it was rather noobish lol. But yes, it's a good idea and it works rather well.

That's the best way to do it. That's how I did it but it wasn't every other level.

No. You use the same level file.

Hope to see you ingame.
