Okay, here's an idea. Stop making threads every time you slap a few polygons together. You now have 8 threads on the front page alone. If it's really that important to post something, put it in a thread with your other models.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.

Honestly I'd rather have what he's doing than what some folks have done, wasting space. At least he's showing work and progress in each of his threads.

However I do agree, just less harshly xD Create a sort of progress thread, or ask a mod to change the title of one of your threads appropriately. Post your work as you go along there. People will view and crit.

As for your current model here, it looks like it's taking form, but we can't tell a lot(or at least I can't) from this render, perhaps a closer up view, even wireframe, is in order.

Ech. Sorry about that post before, I was in kind of a weird mood...

On topic, your pic doesn't really show much. Maybe post a few larger images, or a close-up so we can critique more easily. As far as developing organic modelling technique (something I still haven't attempted, lol) try Googling human body references to get the proportions right, and use some tutorials to learn about using edge loops to make the geometry flow correctly. Humans are one of the hardest things to model correctly, since even the smallest mistake is noticed more easily than that of a less-familiar subject.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, like they should be.

actually it shows enough for us to see what it is suppose to be. and for a third model thats damn good. It still has a very long way to go to become a character, but making good characters is hard. and thats a better start than what most people have.

thats not bad at all,

if you want to be lazy copy the mesh and flip it on the x coordintate, then flip the normals, am not sure how to do this on milkshape but that will create a full body mesh,

lookin good at lest yours is one whole model my first person turned out in 4 seperate parts

(yes i said lest)

good luck

Not sure if your going to, but redo the shoe. Other than that looking pretty good my friend.

Umm i suggest that you do lots and lots of texture practice before moving to animating. But its your choice bro.

its looks good especially since it was done in milkshae, one of the worst modling programs, great for aniamtion but modeling not so good but you get what you pay for

try rigging next, look at the downloads section in fpsc models and media, its got a skeleton. or give a mo and ill post it

i take it you have the newest version of milkshape?

rigging is where you attach a model to a skeleton. the skeleton acts as the animation control, everthing atached to that part will move accordingly, like your arm if you where to move it the mucles follow (although your skeleton dosent move the mucles and tendons do and make the skelton move) the mesh will deform and look like its moving

edit better explanation,

the vertces are attached to one of the several joints on the skeleton, the vertices from that starting postions will follow the same movements as the skeleton to create a movement of sorts,
the reason i ask if you have the most upto-date version of milkshape is that it is esayier to ri since you now can accsess vertex weights which shows by a color, the bone it is attched to, it shows any accendiental screw-ups which would casue the mesh to deform

heres what cosmic prophet taught me, he gave a load of tuts which he later posted here

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131537&b=24

enjoy

Looks good for a third model. Other then the hands and the feet the main problem is the edge loops. Look at this tutorial it should help you: http://poopinmymouth.com/process/character_tutorial/character_process.htm

Okay now I'll say the rest in English, why not start practicing on making textures if you have PS, it just takes a lot of practice but it is perfectly possible.
