Great! I also removed the difficult things from the list (Canals, Citadel). Feel free to try them, for a few extra bonus points...

And you dont have to do all of City 17. It is very big. Just do a small portion if you wish. (Same with Ravenholm)

Like the apartment blocks, that'll be easy to do in-fact.
All you need is the wood and wallpaper, infact.

I believe just random bits of it, for example the train-station, however if you make most of the map, then I`m sure theres much more points. =D

@maikyy: being as the trainstation isnt particularly difficult (It isnt easy, either), i suggest you do all of it, that's what i'm trying to do anyway..

Actualy, kind of the same, but, When mappers for CSS make maps with lots of pride/effort, they will also create a radar, and I use the same tutorial(yes its a FPSBanana link but its related still,) for birds-eye-view images.

I don't mean to ruin anyone's fun but I just don't understand the whole point of this...
This community seems to enjoy copying stuff that already is.

Allot of people are now trying their hardest to re-create something that has been done within a certain amount of time while instead this time-frame could be used to create something more original and truly amazing.

If you said, make a new environment along the lines of half-life 2 stylewise, I would understand the point and you actually will have something that actually is yours!

Copying something exactly as it is is just plain boring and uncreative...
If half-life was'nt an FPS as well, it would have been less boring and actually fun to see an existing game environment in a different perspective.

people do this to get an better idea of creating levels,
some people just don't have enough fantasy and when they are trying to recreate levels, they could come up with ideas for their own games,

and it is just fun to see who can make the best recreation of an game for a price,
p.s. at least that is what i think of it

I played doom 1, doom 2, and doom 3 all in under 12 hours and I know all the maps off the back of my hand and I did a speedrun on Doom 1 on nightmare collecting everything all secrets and all monsters dead that lasted around 15 minutes... Do I get to be a judge now? for the Doom compo?

My favorite part in half life is the saw thing you can take with gravity gun. You shoot it at people and they get cut in two
