Sorry for the umm, fifth post in a row () but this is a preview of the Glock, the model is done and so is the UV Map and I'm starting to texture it.
Here's the gun with the wireframe, and I realize the little hole on the top has some pretty intense topology but I wanted it there and that was the only way, and it barely affects shading or poly count.

And here's the only part of the texture that is finished, the clip.

EDIT: Oh and it's only about 500 polygons.

Okay sixth post in a row, someone respond so I won't have to post a seventh post in a row!
Anyways, the Glock is done now, the texture took me some time but it was worth it, since I am actually quite proud of this little thing, it is just about 500 polygons so it should be appropriate for most engines, and it's accompanied with a 2048x2048 (Can be easily scaled down without that much loss of detail) diffuse texture map and a 2048x2048 Specular map. Here're some renders and the download is attached to this post!
Have fun!

EDT:
Here're some shots from inside of maya (So there's no AA for now) just to show off the back and the front of the gun mostly.

Sure why not, just if you ever distribute it or something, mention it was me who modeled and textured it. Makes me feel special. Otherwise just do whatever the heck you want with it heh.

The texture for the gun is looking mint! keep up the great work.
But for me the magazine of the glock just doesn't seem right, im not sure if its the way you orientated those scratches the wrong way or not, i dont see how i would get such insane scratches like that, in that way by ripping out the magazine.

what reference did you use?

EDIT: i think the scratches need to be sharper. also i think you did the scratches to quickly, because in one of the images, the scratch loops on the edge of the magazine, which in most cases scratches don't occur like that.

Your texturing is improving. Keep up the great work.

Thanks, and yeah I realize I went a little bit over the top with the scratches on the clip, not sure why but I probably thought it looked cool, I can remove some of it easily though.
And I had several reference images I found on google, not many for the clip though.

I recommend remaking the clip, ive been surfing the net quite rapidly for reference images and the shape is a lot different.

Hope this helps.
the front needs to be rounded and made longer.
Edit: haha i also noticed that you overlapped the side of the gun in the uv map, which made the writing back to front.

actually, ur clip model is a lot thicker. on the reference images the magazine is thinner horizontally and longer vertically. the width of ur magazine is too large, try scaling it down a tad.

Actually Alucards clip is just missing the top, nothing else, and judging by the references they give no sense of depth, only the top is seeable, and very few of the front and if it was shown then it had really bad perspective.

Just an update, the next model will be a character of some sorts, seeing as I haven't made one in a while. I'll probably rig it as well.

Thank you! And I'm usually always on when I'm home, which is like always. But I do live in Sweden which idiotically enough has a completely different time zone.
Honestly, I'd prefer the world without time zones, all they do is annoy.

Okay, so I have been relatively busy these past days but I've gotten some work done on the character model itself, only the base mesh is in the works now though, so no armor or anything like that yet. Oh and I still have to do the head if you didn't notice.
The model is about 992 polygons with the hands currently.
And yes, it's a female, I decided to make it a female since I haven't actually done any of those before and I thought it would be a good learning experience. And getting those breasts to look alright was a bit of a challenge to be honest. Luckily I had some good reference. (No I didn't use what you think I used as reference. )

Ah, that's a bug with TGC seemingly... Seeing as I've seen that issue on several threads lately. That sucks... Maybe I shouldn't had deleted them from my HDD. (I know... I suck. )
I'll try to see if I can find them, if not... Could someone else convert these? I would be forever grateful.

EDIT: I still have the files! I'll see if I can get them uploaded.
EDIT2: Uploading now... Might take a while.

The formatted models are uploaded to Sharebee (Anyone who doesn't use ShareBee, go use it now, it's completely free and automatically mirrors the download to several different sites.)
The first axe model is though still in the process of uploading so I'll edit this post when that's done.

The other thing was a old fantasy style cellar entrance, if you have ever played Everquest2, then its like the entrance to the tradeskillers areas, just like two wooden doors which would open in real life, and then steps down but just like open doors with the top half of a ladder and then a black plane so it looks like its going into darkness, or one just with closed doors. For realmcrafter, would be good to have a decent underground cellar entrance

I'll get right on that! ... Maybe, the bad thing is that I recently started playing Pokemon Gold again (Big fan of that series, say what you want, they're great RPG's) and I'm sort of hooked, so it might take a while before I get back to work heh.

I think this is the second time I've seen you post something in this fashion about a female model...and I think it's really unnecessary...

You got some nice texture skills , keep it up good work.

My suggestion will be to pay more attentions for small details , they can really chance the whole thing.

Best.

Yeah I know, I really need to practice mechanical and organic texturing to be able to make "good" looking details and such.

So, status report. Still no more work done on the models, sorry. I'm actually really sick right now, my head is pounding to hell every time I make a minor move so it's rather hard to focus and model and such. Sorry guys. I'll try and fit some stuff in when I get better.
