Another history buff...hi!

And darimc is right, the one with FPSC on it is also the one we are talking about. The Internet on it is back up, however, yet it keeps dying. I'll look into this.

Meanwhile, enjoy two tasty screens: a before & after shot of the adjoining room (the double door was assembled in a few minutes, I will happy to answer any questions about it).

This thread is red already. He has only 4 screens? And its red?

The screens need more entities though.

@ PoK: It's actually 5 screens.

The reason for the small amount is because since I started high school, I've had a lot of homework (not today, though) and side projects, but it's good I can manage my time.

OH MY GOD!

Seriously though, it looks decent, but it's really nothing I haven't seen before. You aren't wowing me with the screens. Experiment with shadows and get some nice shafts of light spread through different objects.

I'll try; what should I set the light shadows in setup to? 45?

I do 100, and then change lightmaptexsize to 2046.
Makes them look awesome.

The first new screenie looks pretty good, but I don't like the second too much. Too much space with not enough entities.

Thanks, Juzi. I personally like the second screen, but it's your opinion.

Damn it!! Setting the lightmaptext size to 2046 downright crashed my game. I'm gonna have freakin' rebuild level 1!!! What was the normal lightmaptext size number? 1? 100?

Erm...sorry
Remember to always make backups!, why do you have to rebuild level one though? You changed the setup of a built game not the test game didn't you? It won't work if you change the one in the fpsc folder.

Coming from you, AI, that's the gumpilienth time I've heard that.

Screens look good, as always, but I will not be convinced until there is a demo.

[quotelightmaptexsize to 2046[/quote]

I don't know much about FPSC, but in my experience that should be 2048 not 2046.

It should be 2048 (1024 times two).

Even in test mode, that would just crash FPSC, not require a remake of the level. Excuses...

Oh, come on. You've said that for every other past FPSC game you've made. Now, here's a tip: Don't show us any screens until you finish at least the first level.

wow you guys are harsh to him. Only thing he wants to do is show us a game he is making, so what if he hasn't finished one before. It seems to me like you guys are treating him differently because he hasn't finished one before. well why don't you guys look around there hasn't been many finished games. So why don't you give him support then putting him down.. I can sort of see why he doesn't finish a game now.

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM HI.

Look, I'm not trying to be harsh. Before the multitude of threads that you (AI) were leaving popped up, I trusted you and believed you. I thought your games were awesome, and was very eager for some demos. But...

Now, this is the seventh game you have posted, and all faith I had in you is completely gone.

@noobgamer; You haven't been around for as long as the rest of us. You haven't seen all of the WIPs he has posted.

Quote: "I promise, I will not drop this project."

Quote: "The other projects were just tests."

Quote: "I've countlessly changed my games (at least 15+ times, heh) but: that's all about to change with Kola, AI's new project!"

These kind of make me sad, all of that potentially fantastic work just wasted.

AI, if you somehow, somehow, succeed with this, well, I don't know what I'll do. But please, take my advice, and don't show us anymore, until the first level is finished. Please.

I finally realized my flaws...

I will work on level 1 today and see how much gets done. The way I'd do it, is go room by room, and put sensible objects in each (do warehouses have bathrooms?).

Well, it could use a few more boxes and storage IF it is a storage room. If not, then I think you got it right on the nail.

Please finish this one AI.

Hmmm, I recommend you look at some real life rooms, try Googling pics of them.....

As you can see, real life generator rooms have rows on generators working in sync. Your room is too small and simplistic for a rael life generator room....

I don't like the generator room, regardless of the fact it's supposed to be dark it doesn't look very nice. It's very bland and the generator seems out of place. Look at some pictures like CG advised.
