Ok. I didn't mean to spam this place up either.

And check your gunn3r games PM box, I sent you something.

Can't wait for more screens or an environmental demo!

Haven't been on GG in sometime, still awaiting an e-mail with a new password.

An environmental demo will be up sometime this upcoming weekend.

Funny stuff

Quote: "If I do release a demo, be prepared to apologize at least 5 times."

No? If you release a demo I'll assume that's YOUR apology for your other 50 threads. Like I've said ten times before, I can only HOPE that you do release a demo.

Quote: "It's idiots like you who repel me from game dev, believe it or not"

Glad I make an impact somewhere in the world! Funny though, seems like because of that statement there, your report to the MODs might be just a little counter productive. I've never said anything truly offensive to you in anyway and you call me an idiot! Uh-oh.

I must say though, some of those new screens look very good lol.

There won't be a flame war. It's a good way to get this thread locked though, mwahahaha! Lol just playing.

You see, that's the problem, people don't read.

Good AI i really want you to finish this for your own sake its kind of lame seeing as how a flame war starts in your thread so you give up and its all of a sudden your fault you didn't finish it? Well maybe if people stopped acting childish you would have finished a few games before i mean seriously guys just let it go only like 10%of all games get finished and half of you don't even have room to talk so just leave it be and stop it. And sorry A.I that all of your threads end up like this because of people like Jenkins who just live to sit on there pc and bash someone for ending something they lost interest in. I hope this thread stays open good luck man and all others you should just Shut up its his thread and his game and his work so dont bring your insults and all of that other Un necessary BS with you in here just leave a cit and move on.

Thats right yes .....yes i went there..

It has nothing to do with finishing a game. Well okay, obviously that takes some part. It's how he makes his threads. I've already explained every one of his threads so I'm not doing it again. He swears a million times each thread that he will in fact finish this game and he NEVER even finishes a first level. I don't care if he works on a game, I just don't think he should be allowed to make a thread UNTIL he at least accomplishes something, anything in his game.

Also, using people like me as an excuse for quitting is the most bullcrap and moronic excuse I've ever heard. After going through every rant I've made about his stupid threads he should be trying harder to finish a level and prove me wrong. But no, instead he does what he always does and quits. But he thinks he can blame it on me? That's either really funny or, no that's just really funny.

And stop talking about flame war in this thread. I'm not starting a flame war, nor will I take part in one. You can all yell at me and tell me otherwise but if any flaming occurs it'll be on your hands.

Now, with that being said, I'm done here. When he quits this level, everyone I insist that you just laugh. That's all you can do now is laugh because he doesn't listen to anything.

Give him a chance on this one. I've learnt that you should only showcase your game when you've completed 20-30% of the game, and you know you are determined and will continue with it.

Seeing as this is a showcase I tend to rate what I see regardless of who is making the game. But this time I'm going to speak up and say that I agree with pretty much everything Jenkins has said so far.

American Infantry has had more than enough time to redeem himself (10 threads worth of time). We've given him plenty of advice on how to go about creating a full game, but by not listening to us he's blown his reputation to the point where mods had to approve his threads before he posts anything on showcase. (Frankly I don't understand how this one was approved seeing as it was a picture of a single room at first.)

Quote: "you don't like it, get out! "

Don't act like your a victim here because you're not. You've brought this upon yourself. Jenkins has raised some very valid points and you've said nothing to defend your game and prove him wrong. It's also impossible to ignore this thread when it hogs the top of the board.

Quote: " I've learnt that you should only showcase your game when you've completed 20-30%"

I've suggested this around 6 times in his previous threads...

Why have you never taken this advice?

Actually, I posted this thread without mod approval. However, Nickydude just said that I better finish this or something like that.

EDIT: Besides, I think I did e-mail Nikydude about it, and he never got back to me after waiting...so I though that it'd be alright to go with this. NIckydude, after he posted, didn't say anything about me getting approval, so there you have it.

Then you're in the wrong. Nevermind Jenkins kicking up a fuss, you posted this without following a rule set in place by a moderator.

The fact you posted this in Game Design Theory, and then here before anyone even replied to that thread, to me shows that you haven't learned at all. You've yet again rushed into making a thread where you haven't done sufficient work for it to be classed worthy of the showcase.

You're basically the reason a lot of people had to follow the "Include a demo or don't post" rule a while back. They seem to have removed such a rule, but I think it should certainly apply to you, if anyone.

Deathead, we will spare Nick for now

Alright y'all, calm down. Take a deep breath and drink some black coffee.

As I'm not familiar with the predicament I will say that AI, you sure as hell better finish this game. You have canceled every game you said you'd do. And you know if you do not complete this game you will forever be the most infamous person in these forums (well, for the people that are aware that you have canceled over five games).

And you know if you don't finish this game, I'm gunna make a parody game call Semi-Automatic.

Alright, now for the game, you're doing good, I'd like to see more progress though. Everything looks ace, but I still think it resembles Kola a bit much (the lighting, theme, etc.).

I had to peek at this thread just to see if I've been flamed or not. I must say, I wasn't expecting people to actually agree with me but I'm damn glad people do. For the longest time I felt like I was taking crazy pills because I was the only one saying anything (for the most part) in these stupid threads. I'm just going to say thank you to those who agree with me lol.

Quote: "Actually, I posted this thread without mod approval"

That's just the funniest thing I've ever read, EVER.

I don't understand why it's so hard for you to just not start a thread until you've accomplished something. I know it's a crazy concept but I think you are capable of grasping it.

I mean c.mon guys is this really all of you have to do all days is bug someone about a game? So what if he posted it without permission its his problem not yours. Do any of you own the forum? He doesn't have to answer the question, but by completely ignoring it he's showing the height of bad manners. Several members have given him this good advice, but he chooses to ignore it completely and when asked why he ignores it (Baring in mind that actually following the advice would have got him out of the hole he's dug ages ago) he just turns his back.

Quote: "I mean c.mon guys is this really all of you have to do all days is bug someone about a game?"

You don't need to post either you know. Posts like yours that acuse us of attacking AI are the ones that we are, naturally, going to respond to.

Quote: "it just seems so childish....but whatever.....Have fun wasting your day acting all big behind a computer screen it dosent bother me none."

And it isn't childish to stubbornly ignore people? All I asked for was an explanation as to why he just posted his game without even a single level finished. And if it doesn't bother you, why did you post?

Anyway, moving on. I hope AI posts new screens. The game looks quite good at the moment.

Lets have the argument end there, eh? If the mods wanted to close this done for posting without permission they would have done so already and we wouldn't be getting all this good content. Keep up the work AI

Yes lets, any more about about whether he'll finish it or not and those people will be slapped, so the next posts after this better be about the actual game, not whether it will be finished (as I'm sure it will, right AI?)

@ Bendak11: I'm hoping for level one to be in the middle between long and short. There's going to be about 3 floors and a radio on the second so you can coordinate an attack via sound zone. There will not be any puzzles, as this isn't the type of game for that.

Here's a pic of a small office on the catwalk that was shown a screen or two ago.

Really, the lighting doesn't look right because it's meant to be coming from the screens in the corner, right?

Make the radius smaller, and actually lower the height of the light and it might look better. Also consider moving your ceiling light to make that corner darker, and make the screens stand out more.

Keep it up!

I suppose to fit in with the pastel shades of the main light, you don't want the blue light to be too "Jump out and in your face", so maybe bring it a little closer to grey. However, if you want to draw attention to that area (maybe it has ammo, or a pickup near it), you can keep the light as it is to grab players attention, or even light add more white to it, though watch the radius too.

It's a honour to be regarded so highly, especially since I'm rarely here!
