I don't understand the rules here, about Model Requesting, because the rules say don't but after searching, there's a lot of them. But I'm risking getting flamed here, so I'll ask anyway. If this IS against the rules, Mods lock/delete this, but please inform me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My modeling skills are.... No. So I need an alien model for my game. Not an alien like "little green men". It's almost like a mutated worm with a mouth full of sharp teeth and blade like arms... I have money for this, but not much. I don't need it textured, animated, or scripted, because if I have the core model, I think I could do it myself. If anyone is interested, post back and I'll show you some concept art for it, giving the basic Idea. Please also include the price you would expect. There isn't a true time limit, and the poly doesn't matter yet. We'll get there when we get there.

I prefer this in .X format...

I am wearing my Anti-Flame Armour, and eyes squinted. Post away!

How much are you offering?

It depends. What seems reasonable? I don't really know.

Hmm, I'd imagine for an un-animated model...at about medium quality you can expect to pay £8-20...

That sound's about good.

If you have Fpsc 1.09 and up, look for the CAVE DEMON by Kasseyus. Thats the STYLE I want, meaning Semi-Smooth...

And here is a model I found that is very similar in Shape to what I want, Though that one is very complex...

I've drawn in paint.net a really fast image of what I'm saying. I know it looks like a 3 year old did it, but my camera is out of batteries to take a pic of the sketch on paper.

I can do it. I'll see what I can do, and then we can discuss price, if I decide to charge anything....

EDIT: BTW, this will be my first attempt at an organic model, but we'll see how I go. If you want some previews of my other models, you can check out my profile.

Okay, here's a render. As I said, my first organic model, so... yeah. I know the teeth kinda suck, I can take them out if you wish.

I'm thinking, maybe what Coffee said... eight pounds?

COMMENT-Wow. That look's good. You're fast!

TEETH- The teeth are fine, but I'm curious, maybe an image of teeth as a texture to save poly and be "flat" like shark teeth...

ARMS-Can you lower his arms a bit and perhaps shrink them, (less muscular), giving him a more "snakey" type neck.

MELEE-See image for changes in arms

TAIL-Go up at the end like image.

I hope this isn't too much to ask..
And that price seems plenty fair...Maybe more for my Crazy changes.

Well, there is just one thing. I've lowered his shoulders a bit, and I'm wondering exactly what you mean by a 'snakey' type neck.

Oh, yes? And how much do you charge, I wonder? Not to mention that I already have the model sitting here, waiting to be finished...

EDIT: Perhaps this is somewhat what you were after, AS?

Much better. I'm sorry for "snakey" type neck. I was meaning to say like giving it a long taller skinnier neck.

This model is almost done according to my expectations. Thank's, yet again here...

The couple last things, I'll try to make sense here!

His "blades for hands are perfect, but the connection from them to his arms needs to be smooth, more organic, not robotic.

Then, his body, round off the front, so it dosnt bulge like a slug! Picture those zerg in starcraft. (IMAGE CONDENCED TO A LINK)
http://www.scenicreflections.com/files/1024x768x256.jpg

I just realized that my monster is very similar, but it'll be MUCH different when textured. Anyhow, can you also increase his tail size, (make fatter and slightly longer and curve up more like a dinosaur.)

And if I haven't put you out enough already, is it possible to make his arms bend in the "retracted" way they were in the last image I posted?

After this, this may do. We will see. Great work, and thanks for accepting for so cheap!

BTW: what program are you modeling this with?

Blender exports .3ds and .X right? If so when you finish up here, can you please include .3ds?

My friend says that it can export .3ds files, if not, theres a plug-in for it...

Okay, almost done, just a couple of things...

First, the pose that you want him in, that will come when you rig and animate it. To rig it, you'll want his arms outstretched to his sides, that will make it easier. Unless you insist on having that pose, I'll leave it at that.

Secondly, what's your email? If you don't feel comfortable giving it out or something, just send one my way. That way, if you aren't satisfied after you've purchased, then I can alter it to suit your needs.

EDIT: How's this?

What's the polycount on that, Toasty? It looks quite good, but kinda subsurfed.

BTW, to clarify on model requesting, I think requests are almost always tolerated. The mods only come down on them if they're the nooby kind, like "I cant pay, I'll give u in creditz," because those just attract flames.

Rereading the rules, I think they also frown on requests for a modeller to work on a full game with you. However, single model requests seem to be fine.

One very last thing.

A wireframe picture of the alien. (In that side angle view you had always been rendering it in.

A top view image. (Not wireframe.)

And then we will discuss payment shipment, or whatever you call it through paypal. And email me those images so that i have your email to discuss that.

Thanks.
