Without going into specifics, I've been quietly developing a multiplayer game in FPSC. If I go all the way with it, the end result will be an exe with multiple levels, lobby system, etc. (Thanks to that mod.) I want it to support team deathmatch, etc. But that depends on whether such features are implemented in the mod. Anyway, the game will be released alongside a community dev. kit of sorts, so people can make and submit their own levels based around the game universe. (More on that another time though.) I'll put up a website where regular games are scheduled and (maybe) people can form clans and enter competitions, etc. What I need to know is if you guys; as a community, would make use of such a thing. I mean, would you actually download the game and make use of the website to get use out of it? (Assuming the game is good enough, of course.) I ask because not enough FPSC MP games get the support they need. After all, the community is what makes or breaks the game and I'd like to know if this is something you'd be interested in? If this gets interest, I'll post up details on the game in the WIP, or just release it when it's done along with the website.

(Just to be clear, this is not interfering with S.M.I.L.E. industries in any way.)

I would be interested. The reason why most MP games dont take off is because there are never any people playing them at the same time you are so its practically just you running round the map on your own which is no fun.

Thanks, but the best way anyone can help is by joining the community and playing the game. (Of course, I first need to make the game AND the community hub.)

Just letting you know now, I will be requesting the assistance of 7 people to play and discuss the closed beta. More on that another time though. Also, I've been hounding knxrb to put feature after feature into FPSCIP and thanks to his amazing work, this game will be so big and badass you'll have to have your jaw surgically re-attached.

MASSIVE new multiplayer game coming soon!

Just bumping this so I can see if any more people are interested.

btw, the game probably won't have team deathmatch and whatnot, as s4mod isn't going too well right now, but it will still use lobby features, etc.

New query: Would you guys be interested in forming clans for the game through the game website's forums? People would be able to announce clans in the clan section of the site and others can join/ be invited to join. This is dependant on whether or not team games make it in, as I'm just trying to figure out how well FPSC IP will work with Project Blue. Once the ball gets rolling, I'll probably introduce clans anyway, but I'd like to see what you guys think.

Another piece of news: "Tournaments" are being scrapped as regular events, although they may crop up if I feel like organising one. However, there will be a variety of contests people can enter into that will mainly focus on user-generated content and collaborations, among other things.

Oh, and just to re-iterate, the scale and scope of this project is indeed huge and it WILL be a success as long as there are people to physically play it, which is what I'm trying to ensure.

Assuming the ranking system gets into FPSC IP. At the moment it onlyseems to be in his mod.

If FPSC IP support is put into Project Blue then I'll make the ranking system compatible.
