Hey,

Which settings should I use to make the most realistic shadows?
And I heard about shaders, can I also use them to make shadows?

Thanks,

no. Open both your setup.ini and your buildsetup.ini files and change the lightmap size to 1024, and the lightmap quality to anything above 50.

Do this while FPSC is closed.

How about this stays as a secret so no-one else finds out? In that case when our games are released with shadows, lots of people will play it as they have never known how to use the shadows .

Lol, indeed devil It's basically modding FPSC too, as you're editing the main setup of a program lol.

Can you imagine, all of this cool effects were already in the original Fps Creator back in 2005!!!
Btw:I can't seem to find buildsetup.ini,I even searched the whole Fps Creator map whit windows annd it didn't find it.

The fact that nearly every one uses them in their games already makes it pointless to.. restrict the information.

Yeah, I was joking too . A kind person never keeps things hidden . Basically, to get shadows, here's an example setup.ini file about the BUILDGAME parameters:

Now change these parameters:

And you've got shadows!

Hmm, I get the strangest thing occuring when I change the file specs. After i build my game and look at the spec file, It had changed it all back...

Not only that, but the built game has the "normal" shadows, so me changing the file did nothing...

Anyone have this happening?

Make sure, everything of FPSC (Engine plus Map-Editor) is off.

Then go to setup.ini and change the lightmaptexsize to 1024 and lightmapquality to above 50, now save it and open fpsc and make light with couple of boxes , test it out, and voila beatifull shadows
