What are you exporting them as? .X? And you have to be sure to have your textures with your model

I'm having the same trouble but with .3ds... maybe there is something in common with the causes of our problems.

Well, I usually just use Blender for creating the model and then texture with LithUnwrap and Photoshop. Blender's .X exporter always seems to miss the important stuff.

I don`t use materials - I always delete materials from the mesh panel, then go into uv edit mode, select all faces, switch the mesh panel to the uv image editor, select all faces in the editor and load in an image in the editor menu. You can unwrap from the same menu or the or in 3d view menu under "mesh". I don`t have the latest version, but I do have 2.46, 2.43 and 2.37 - 2.46 doesn`t have the option to uv map this way so I use the other two versions.

Zilch - no, you need to UV map it. That said, you can just colour the vertices and that will work, but for any texture work, you do need a UVmap.

Blender3D - GIMP - WINXP - DBPro
