Any progress on the saving/loading bug s4? I'd love it if that was fixed. Then I can think about buying the full version. (wants a fully working exe =P)

A good idea is to try add some of the new next generation game featurs like:
-Customizable charicter system for MP using a base model and the ability to add items to the base model EG. A helmet Giving each player a unique Look

-Better Graphics, motion blur and other kinds of eye candy.

-open world like accepting missions and unlocking new ones in one level.

Just some of my thoughts

@s4real, Plystire (and not forgetting Airslide and Ultraforce.)
This is crazy. Like the best thing I have seen since running a 4x4 room in V1. The frames balanced out to give a nice steady 38 in a heavy customized map of mine. Although running P.Blue did not fix a problem of mine with the engine, the mod ran very nice and I plan to purchase very soon.

@s4, ok to rock the banner for awhile? like I did for Lemur.

!!! NOTICE TO ALL PROJECT BLUE USERS !!!

This is a notice to everyone who is having issues with the Mod.

Project Blue should be considered as a Mod targetting advanced FPSC users!
If you are having difficulties with something in your game, you should first assume that it is YOUR FAULT!!! S4real has contacted me today and notified me that he has been overwhelmed with users reporting "problems" that just end up being something simple and NOT a bug with the Mod at all. So before you go and contact him, I urge you to reconsider and attempt to fix the problem yourself as it may not be a bug at all. It's aggravating to test every little problem that users have encountered, especially when all it comes down to is a user error.

Yes, there are some bugs in here, but unless your problem meets the following criteria, please do not contact him:
1) You are a beta tester -OR- there isn't a beta currently being tested
2) You have tested this bug sufficiently and can say without a doubt that it is a bug.
3) You can provide steps to duplicate the bug (preferably using stock media)
4) Your bug CANNOT be duplicated in vanilla FPSC V1.15

I am aware that there are certain bugs that come up only for a single piece of custom media. These are very aggravating and it feels like we're suffering for a modeler's inability to make a proper entity/segment/weapon. So if you can, PLEASE try to duplicate the bug using stock media.

Also, believe it or not, FPSC V1.15 inherently has bugs of it's own and we are not targetting these right now, so if you find the bug in vanilla FPSC as well as Project Blue, please not bring it to us. Email Lee about his bugs and email us about our bugs.

Remember, this is a small team. It consists of two people. We don't have a section of people dedicated to testing bugs for us, and since we have to do everything ourselves, we would appreciate it if you helped us out ahead of time with the aforementioned techniques of testing your bug and prepping it for fixing.

Thank you, that is all.

Im guessing thats a problem with your Map Editor and not Project Blue, because I have used it and it works fine... So thats a problem with your system. Not Project Blue.

Are there any xrMod features in this? It has a lot of cool things in it, so if you haven't you should check it out.

We've seen it and have implemented a few of the features from it. The two that I recall being implemented were the rain and moveable lights. After the integration disagreement, I'm not sure if they've been removed, but I was not informed of it being taken out, so they are probably still in.

S4 would know for sure, since he has the final build source. He'll probably make a post tomorrow.

Sorry, doing a bit of catch-up here. The mod looks to be comming along beautifully.

Quote: "The video S4 just uploaded to YouTube doesn't show a proper jumping animation"

Very cool. Which animation # is being used for jumping? Do the characters need to be set up in any special way to work with this?

Hopefully I'll be rolling over to 1.15 soon so that I can get with the new times.

I am now having a large problem which is very annoying with PB. After every game i build or test, i need to run the clearner executable to remove all the dbo files. I am not sure why this is required as there has been no change in the version. Could you guys get back as soon as possible.

Because of this problem i can not build games with more than one level. My entry for the FPSC competition has to now be built with Ply's mod and not PB, meaning i have to remove quite a few of the features.

I've been testing the new 1.17 version.
It has the moveable lights and rain commands from XrMod and nice full screen bloom shader.
I'm making a very large city map with detail to stress the mod and post screens after talking with S4real about it.

This is great work by S4real and Plystire.

@Arenas : Why do you have to run the cleaner after every test or build please give us more info on any error's you are having.
Make sure you using a clean install for project blue and see if the issue's are still there.

@freak of nature 64: Moveable lights and rain is still in the mod at the moment for v1.7 but may be taken out now.

1. What are all the keys and what do they do?
2. Using scripting, could I make grenade pickups and use a key to throw them?

@freak of nature:

The only additional key controls that you need to know are for dual-wielding.

Also, I'm sure with a bit of imagination and scripting, you could very well get a grenade "throw key" to work.

@Kravenwolf:

If the agreement with knxrb has been broken or something else has come up that requires us to remove it...... or if those particular features are causing problems that we cannot rectify, then they will be removed.

The reason i need to run the cleaner is because the dbo and bin files created cause the editor to crash. Its only when built or tested this happens, never when youare just adding something to the map.

@Alwaysoft:

You may contact s4real about purchasing. He is the thread creator so just use the email on his profile to contact him.

@Inspire:

Shouldn't the aspect ratio change with the screen resolution you specify in the setup.ini file?

@Arenas:

That sounds strange. I have not heard of someone running into that issue. Have you tried making a clean install of FPSC (completely uninstall, reinstall, then upgrade directly to V1.15) to install the Mod onto? Usually that rectifies those types of problems.

Which one?

One of the "bugs" was actually a DBP bug and Lee has notified S4 that the fix for it would be in one of the newer DBP upgrades, so we'll have to see about that one.

Other than that, I do believe the saving/loading bugs are all fixed. But let me know which one you're talking about and I'll confirm.

Well the one where the exe fails to respond when you finish loading the game. What was the bug that lee said? the overstretched images?

Yes, the overstretched images was an internal bug with DBP. We confirmed it in vanilla FPSC and notified Lee about it.

I wasn't informed of the bug you're referencing here.

I have loaded many games in Project Blue and have never had it stop responding. If this is occurring for all of your built games and not just one... perhaps you can contact S4 about receiving a temporary beta to see if the problem persists in the latest version.

Ah, I see. Well hopefully the bug won't happen in the newer version. I'll inform S4 of it and have the beta testers try it out as often as they can to make sure it isn't there.

I also have the load game bug described by Lewis. Crashes my "Sands of Myth" project every time it finishes loading a saved game. I am looking forward to the next update, hoping it solves the problem. I haven't had the time to do thorough tests so I can't say for sure that Project Blue is causing it.

Sands of Myth development can be followed here by the way

@ Arenas : This is an issue that nobody in the beta testers have had and not had this problem myself,Like Ply said maybe trying a fresh install could fix this problem.what error message are you getting when it crashes?

@Lewis : The save/load bug has been fixed in the newer version of Project blue.

Hi everyone, I've read on another topic that the final version 1.7 has bloom effects, is this true? I searched the manual and found nthn..

also I think Ply was working on a blur effect before the two mods are merged together, is it finished in this version?

Thank You..

Sos for the late reply, but yes i have tried reinstalling and starting afresh... None of it works... FPSC worked fine with my computer for ages... I think that it is going to be something to do with the FPSC map editor with all the memblock errors...

@Bibo4PC:

Yes, the FS3 (Full Screen Shader System) will be in Project Blue v1.7

It is recommended that you have a GPU capable of SM3.0 for using it, though. There has been only one nVidia card user who has encountered a problem with it and a few ATi card users have also had problems. All of them were able to fix the problems by compiling the shaders with SM3.0

v1.7 will be packaged with a few FS shaders for you to use.

I dunno if I should post this in the Ply's Mod thread, but I can't get the weapon swapping commands to work. I set the below script onto the Katana pickup, so that it replaces the Unarmed fists with the Katana.

Quote: ":state=0:hudreset,hudx=50,hudy=90,hudimagefine=gamecore\text\pickedupaweapon.tga,hudname=weaponprompt,hudhide=1,hudmake=display,state=1
:state=1,plrdistwithin=40,inview=1:replaceweap=Model Pack 9\UNARMED1 Model Pack 9\KATANA,plrsound=audiobank\items\pickupweapon.wav,hudshow=weaponprompt,hudfadeout=weaponprompt,destroy
"

I don't think it's a syntax error, I hope it is at least...

You have spaces in the folder name. The space makes the parser believe that you are seperating commands. So the parser sees "Model" as the first parameter and "Pack" as the second parameter, then just ignores the rest.

Remove the spaces from the folder name (The actual folder's name as well as in the script) and it should work.

Installation is the same with all Mods (unless they are external DLL Mods like the ENB Mod), back-up your FPSC-Game.exe file then place the one for THIS Mod into your FPS Creator folder. After that, use FPSC as you normally would.
