Quote: "Hi Henry

Question if I may. How do you go about changing the model for example if you wanted to add armour or a helmet etc. I want to buy this but want to make some sci-fi soldiers with armour.

How easy is it to do that and how do you make extra clothing a fixed part of the model so it works with animations etc?

Thanks and great work on the pack "

its fairly easy for the example merc model i added a few edges down the front of the torso (in red in pic)
then selected all the polys i wanted to make up his waistcoat (green in the pic )then extruded them a little bit ,finaly i moved a few verts to get the shape i wanted.(took about 2 mins to do)

you can use this in a lot of ways to add to the mesh,
the shades were a seperate mesh attached to the base mesh

its not that hard but it does take a bit of skill to do (but hey if i can do it anyone can lol )

The lowest rez one needs some more details, thumb, and some facial shape, look at bonds bikinni girl model, forget the pack, just enough detail, I used that basic moidel to skin lots of characters from.

Also note, the shoulder is too sharp, that cuts what you can do is it hints at a tshirt or clothing, it needs rounder shape.

3ds max 8

fallen one the idea of the base mesh is to reshape it yourself not just reskin it that way you can have the bodyshape you want ,all it takes is a bit of modeling know how .

as i said in an earlyer post i will be adding higher poly hands & heads to the pack soon .this should give people more options to play with .

Quote: "I used that basic moidel to skin lots of characters from."

yes i have seen them the retexture are great ,but you can still tell that its the bikinni girl model as a base.

...for a base, she's probably just fine, henry ham.

It is true that gravity is always at work on that portion
of the female anatomy, but a final tweaking of the model
would most likely, be done by the the end user anyhow.

Size, perk or sag could be easily customized to taste...

Good work Henry. I think the base female model is just fine.
I think that most people will create a character with cloths.

Is this program compatable with TGC's Character Shop or does it come with its own animation program?

On a lighter note:
Gravity doesn't effect tight armour. So yeah, there fine LOL!

The_Quay,this is not a program, this is just a model to base your characters off it.

Its a game for 360 made for a competition (sadly we didn't get nomineed )

The four maincharacters where made with the basemesh, not the policemens.

Ill see if I can get some pics for you.

I have also attached what I am making now for a game.

P.S I did all 3D for the Million Dollar Heist except for the appartments
