Hi Henry,

What references did you use to make the base mesh, if any?

Thanks.

Great news! I'll be keeping my eye on this thread then, as that is somthing, I myself, would like to add to my base mesh toolbox. I've been using the same one I made way back, over, and over, and it is nice to have a bit of variety as you well know.

Thanks ny friend!

Can we get a one-legged variation? I don't know, probably just some repressed fantasy.

When you're creating the mesh, are you planning the clothing as well, or am I just seeing what I want to see?

I think a skirt is a great idea, but a longer one will be better for people (like myself) making historical games!! Anyway, what ever you decide, I'm sure it will be great!

hi guys

ive finished the base mesh, uv mapped it & thrown a very basic texture onto it just to give you a basic idea what it looks like.

please remember this is the unedited base mesh its just the starting point for modeling & is not a finished character.

next job is to make a skirted version then rig & add them to the kit

cheers henry

Looks like a nice addition, Henry. Will this be a free update for everyone who's already purchased your toolkit, or a new package altogether?

Is there a way to purchase without using paypal? Long story short, my debit card got confused with my wifes card according to paypal(she swears she didn't do anything to cause it, I almost believe her, lol) and when I inquired as to what the heck was the problem, they responded that they won't accept either one without us going thru some long drawn out process and divulging all sorts of personal info and wait for some bureaucratic schmoe to approve us again. I thought that was a bunch of BS and so I told them to go pound sand (it was actually a bit more colorful than that). I probably should have been more diplomatic about the way I told them they'd never get another nickel from me ever again, but oh well, what's done is done.

Anyway, can I send you a money order perhaps? I'd really like to buy your toolkit but paypal says no because I guess telling them to go ____ themselves kinda pissed them off...

It compiled! Ship it!

I know the texture isn't part of the deal, but couldn't you have used the Summer Glau face? Jeez!

Again, I know it's not a finished mesh but the neck looks kinda thick. If this is actually a cross-dressing guy then never mind.

Thanks for the update... can't wait!

Hi Henry. Just wanted to let you know that I got the pack. You can probably guess which paypal payment was mine from my username, but my name is Pip Nayler.

I take it any models/textures derived from this are free to use in any commercial projects? I would like to use these base models to create characters for my DBP projects.

Anyway, excellent work mate. Thanks for making them available to us, and for the stream of updates. I look forward to the completion of the female character.

This is obviously not the place for a sensitive guy such as myself. I open up a little and share one of my fantasies, and you guys throw it in my face. I have a good mind to take my one-legged wife (Peggy) and three legged dog (Lucky) and go elsewhere, someplace where I will be appreciated.

PS. Henry: I'll send my new address so you can send me the one-legged mesh. Could you make the peg leg a little shorter with like... a plunger on the end of it?

sorry guys theres no demo this is not a program its a base mesh for use in 3d modeling software.the idea is you load the mesh into a 3d modeling software ( there are a number of free ones )& edit the mesh to make your own characters.

that said if you just want a quick background charecter you can just load up the texture in a paint program (gimp, paint.net ect )& paint or paste photos ontop of the uvs.

eg take a photo of your face paste it onto the face area of the uv map ,save file as myface.jpg then add that texture to the model & you are now a charecter in your game.

hope this helps

cheers henry
