Ok. I need some voice actors for my game "Antidote".
You need to at least 18 years or older to voice act. If you are 17 or under, you HAVE TO ASK you parents.

Here is a what I need.

Good guys:

The General. (He needs a deep voice)
The welcome man. (His voice can be anything. But not to young)
Civilian male 1. (His voice can be ANYTHING! )
Tommy unarmed 1. (His voice can be ANYTHING! )
THE PLAYER. (The voice actor can't have a low voice. Maybe like a 18 or 16 year old teen.)
Add more later.


Bad Guys:

None yet! Got to finish the "No fighting levels".

Send me a sample of your voice at "poopstinkers@yahoo.com".

Every voice actor will receive the full game before it is launched! And will be able to be a beta tester. If you are very good, you will receive the .fpm files!! (That means the level files.) With instructions on where to put it if you are a n00b.

No no no, you need to send him some lines to read, and then he'll read them in a variety of accents/styles/voices and you will have to decide what character he should play.

1. I thought request threads like this weren't allowed?

2. Are you paying people to do this, or expecting them to do it for free?

3. What style of game is this?

4. Do you have any WIP screenshots that we can take a look at?

5. How many people do you need?

6. Do you have the script ready yet, or are you looking for someone to write that for you?

See where I'm going with all these questions? You need to have thought at least 90% of all of this out. I'm not bashing you, just trying to help you out here.

Just for future reference, you decide which character the actor will play. The way you do this, is to give us a script (or portion thereof) with lines to read, and we'll send our audio reading those lines. From those auditions, you choose the actors that best fit your vision of the game.

How do we know which character we want to play when we know nothing about them or the game? Where does it take place? When? Are we to be calm, excited, angry, etc?

It's a simple task to raise or lower the pitch/speed/tone of a voice with programs like Audacity. You can use your own voice and create as many variations as you like, male or female. Otherwise, we'll need more to go on... or I can read the dictionary with a nondescript Asian accent if you like.

I would like to help on this project, but I can't really send you anything relevant until you post some lines for us to 'audition' with. Otherwise you'll get 'out-of-context' sample.

You wouldn't audition people for the Terminator and not give them anything to go on. At the very least, you'd get them to say "I'll be back". Otherwise you might end up with Nicholas Cage as the Terminator and, tbh, what could be worse?

See what I mean? Please post a few lines from your 'script' (assuming you have something typed up already) and I'm sure you'll get some replies

I have waited too long all ready and the person who said he is going to send me his voice by email is NOT replying!!
I need voice actors! If I don't get any in 5 days, Antidote is canceled until I feel like I want to put it back. And I uninstall FPSC. Until... ^

May be there aren't that many who think they can do it. Remember when requesting something always be under the impression that no one will answer and never assume that because you've asked people will be jumping at the chance.

Seeing as nobody is doing any voice acting for this game, let me throw this out there:

Any chance you could do all the entire script via huds? That's what I'm doing for "Time/Peace". I don't want the hassle of auditioning and recording/re-recording, so I'm using HUDs for all speaking/talking EXCEPT when the main character is speaking - and at that point I'll just use my own voice.

Dear The Fps Creator rocks!,

I do understand you are having trouble trying to find people, but why don't you just use a voice changer? you can change the pitch/tone up or down or however you like, you can even make yourself sound like a woman (assuming your male). Do you see where I'm going with this? you don't even need other people. The are a lot of other options out there. hope things work out.
