Announcements:

May 25, 2009 - New Demo attached!

My newest (and first, but rather easy) project is called Space Junk Cleanup.

Space Junk Cleanup Will be similar to the demo. On Cleanup mode you'll be trapped in an "arena" and you'll have to find a number of spheres from the large mass of grey colored boxes, If you hit a box, you'll explode. I will have a space themed skybox.

Demo

I now have a new demo, one that will almost be like the real game. Download it, and tell me what you think! And... for the people who want pictures:

Features:

Smooth flying
HUD (Temporary)

Sounds and Music - 25%

I downloaded the demo and it was quite fun but the ESC key didnt work so i had to Alt-F4 out of it.

I like the features your going to implement and I cant wait to see some progress.

Also the community loves screenshots

So you'll probably want to post one . The game sounds interesting though.

The ship is hard to control and finding the spheres is more tedious than fun. What was fun was zooming around the map, dodging space junk.

Maybe if you made the spheres bigger, the game would be more centered around high speed movement than the slow start-and-stop searching gameplay.

Thanks for the comment. I've already implemented higher speeds into the demo.

I definitely agree with Jimpo, it's quite entertaining to zoom around dodging junk, and not quite so entertaining to move in short little bursts to get the spheres.

Couple things I would suggest:
- Less friction in your movement, it would be nice to speed up / slow down instead of always starting and stopping.

- Keep the camera a bit closer to the spaceship, as at least for me it gets fairly difficult to see what's coming up in front of me.

Good work so far

Phosphoer:

1. I've already added that to the demo, I just need to upload the newest version.

2. I'll do that.

Thank you for commenting.
