Well, you too could take advantage of the deal and get all those model packs for $30(plus another copy of FPSC which you could give to someone else)... I
assume there is nothing which states that if you already own a copy of FPSC that you can't purchase this deal. Even if you only want 2 of those model packs you're saving money.
Again, I personally don't see what the problem is here. Most of the software I have bought over the years has dropped in price, or is free, I was offered no refund.
Just using Torque as an example I purchased a license for $100. Now if I want to upgrade I need to pay another $50 to upgrade my license to the latest version. So far not a single update to FPSC has meant anyone has had to purchase a license upgrade and as Bond pointed out,not all of these updates were mere bug fixes. When the migration
finally arrives, as far as I know, it will also be free. Not many companies will offer a major revision of their software free for existing users!
